Paypal - When asking for more docs and info?

I got a Paypal-account that is verified with a bankaccount.

But I've heard that they might ask for passport-scan and other info.
When do they do that?

any time NOT fixed anyways mostly pp ask to provide documents when an issue or unathrouried access to your acc they see and once your account got limited now for remove limitation you have to provide documents or add bank and credit card etc

Generally speaking, they will start asking for documents once the volume of transactions starts getting large. If you're just sending $50 here and there, they wont' ask, but if you start receiving thousands of dollars, then they'll start asking.

Also if they ever limit your account for any reason, they may ask for scans to unlock it. Overall, never store any money in your Paypal account, as you never know when you'll be permanently locked out.

For instance, they can do this when you will travel somewhere and will start it using a lot form another country.

This is a good way to protect a lot of customers, but also can give you a headache.
