Optimize your Site Optimization Steps
By Abi Bakar
If you have chosen to have your site optimized by me, then you can skip this chapter. It may come in useful in the future though, if you decide to add new pages to your site and would like to optimize them yourself for new keywords.
To get found in Google for your chosen keywords you will need to ensure that the keywords appear in the right places on your website. To do this you will need to understand some basic HTML.
You will need to edit the index.html page on your website and add your chosen keywords in the following places:
(1) In your page Title. This is the text between the <TITLE> and </TITLE> tags. (2) Between the headline tags <H1> </H1>, <H2></H2> (3) In your META description and META keywords tags. (4) Throughout the text of your page at the beginning, middle and end between <body> and </body>. (5) In the alt text of some of your images <IMG src="" alt=""> (6) It also helps if you have a link on your page (and other pages on your site) linking back to your main page with your keywords in it e.g. homebiz-direct.com (7) If you are optimizing a page which is not your index page then it also helps to have your keywords as part of the filename e.g. earn-money-from-home.html (8) It's also worth mentioning that it is good to have your keywords in the domain name itself. It is probably too late for this, as you already have your website, but it is useful to know this for the future.
You can see an example of an optimized Plug-In Profit site page here: homebiz-direct.com/pips-update/earn-money-from-home.html This page is optimized for the keyword phrase "Earn Money from Home". If you visit this page and search for "Earn Money from Home" you will be able to see where have to put these keywords.
