I would honestly not be surprised if some banned members really had over 100 accounts. Note that most of the people being banned are paid posters who probably continue to create accounts once they are banned. Allowing them back after a week would not be a smart move. Allowing members to see who are banned allows them to distinguish between real members and these paid posters.
