in my opinion the best forex brokers are Oanda and MBTrading,
Oanda has awful charts but offers flexibility and does things a little differently then the rest. If you use a good charting software(esignal) and Oanda as your broker you can be sure its all safe and legit.
MBTrading is an ECN and has small spreads and offers MT4. I personally never used them but i know a few people that have and are very satisfied.
Except for that its platform sucks. Actually, I trade via Interactive Brokers too, but on very rare occasions.
IB's datafeed is great and their trading fees are the absolute lowest.
I don't care about their interface, as I use the cooltrade software and it just executes the trades through IB, so I don't do anything with IB other than take advantage of their datafeed and trade executions.

Sorry for the newbie qustions, but what do you mean with this?
You use their server an datafeed on another platform?
Or am I totally wrong here.

Interactive Brokers is the broker, and they provide a user interface called the Trader Workstation, for MANUAL trading.
However, I do not enter MANUAL trades with the brokers user interface.
Instead, I use cooltrade's robotic trading software, that has all of my buy/sell rules built-in, and it executes the trades robotically, directly to the broker, and bypasses their software.
