Do Gooders are destroying our nation!

Let's see where this goes. I was going to just do a reply, however do to the controversy over "Do Gooders are destroying our nation!" and "Warning Noobies" I thought it would go better as a topic.

This article, is exactly what I have been saying for years around here.

You "Do-Gooders" are not American's@@! Commie Pinko Freaks who only want your way and to hell with anyone else who does something you don't want to do.

We have become a nation of Do Gooders. I believe
this is because we grew up with protests over the
draft, civil rights, Vietnam, People's Park, etc. It
seems the protesters get a warm fuzzy feeling that is
addictive, habit forming.

Unfortunately, these demonstrations, lawsuits and
protests are doing serious harm to our country. It is
tearing apart the very fabric that binds our society.

Take the timber industry, for example. We had a
healthy industry with many jobs paying a livable
wage. DG's now protest our harvest plans, sue the
Forest Service, the BLM and anyone else trying to
harvest timber. Now we have forests that are too
thick with massive fuel loads. When these
overloaded forests burn, as they will, the fires are
so catastrophic that all timber is destroyed, the soil
is incinerated down to bare minerals and anything
left ends up in our streams. If not for the DG's, we
could mimic nature by thinning our forests, put
some people to work, keep our mills running and
pay down the national deficit.

Let's consider the oil industry. We have the largest
reserves on the planet. There is more oil in
Colorado than Saudi Arabia. The DG's won't allow us
to produce our domestic oil. Instead, we import our
oil, causing a horrendous trade imbalance.

The scary part is we are funding terrorists and
tyrants who hate us and want us dead. Scarier still,
they are using our money to build nukes.

Speaking of DG's and terrorist countries, guess who
is building diesel electric submarines?

Yep. Iran, China and
North Korea are building them. Why? They are very
stealthy and quiet. Sonar even has a hard time
finding them. Guess who's trying to stop our Navy
from practicing with their sonar? You got it, the
DG's.

Alternative energy would seem a good way to cut
back on imported oil, but every time someone tries
to put a plan into action, they are attacked by the
DG's. Remember the wave energy project off Eureka?
Not even a week passed before it was protested. The
wind energy project south of Ferndale? Same thing.
Solar projects down in the desert are being
protested as you read this.

DG's don't like people growing food for us to eat.
Farmers can't plow their fields because they might
run over a mouse. Their irrigation water is cut off
because it might endanger some smelt. Ranchers
can't use their big rigs in Humboldt because the
DG's don't want 101 widened.

DG war protests embolden the terrorists and tyrants
and strengthen their resolve. Consider Walter
Cronkite's reporting on the Vietnam War during the
'68 Tet offensive. He reported that the communists
were winning, we were losing and that we must sue
for peace. We did.

Consider this quote from General Vo Nguyen Giap,
who was a leader of the North Vietnam military:
“What we still don't understand is why you
Americans stopped the bombing of Hanoi. You had
us on the ropes. If you had pressed us a little
harder, just another day or two, we were ready to
surrender. It was the same at the Battle of Tet, you
defeated us. We knew it, and we thought you knew
it. But we were sure elated to notice your media was
helping us. They were causing more disruption in
America than we could on the battlefields. We were
ready to surrender, you had won.”

Well, at least we know our warriors didn't lose the war. The DG's at home
did it for us.

The cumulative effect of all this Do Gooding is
strangling our country. We are our own worst
enemy.

We have homeless children in this country. Old
folks who are alone. Lots of good causes out there.
Why not volunteer for a worthy cause that helps our
country?

DGs suck, noisy lot. They wouldn't know how to quietly go and DO some good where it's needed if it hit them in the eye. Not my nation, so I'll sit quietly with my cuppa now.

This is actually unbelievable!

Perhaps the Nay-Sayers around here, don't understand that "Do-Gooder" is Them?

Any other time on TG, they would be thumping their chests and girding their loins just egging on a fight.

Telling "US" how THEY KNOW what is right and wrong. Then woe is you who should stop them from venting their "Voice"

Yet, not a whimper from Nay-Sayers; to justify their reason for doing what they do and more importantly "Why" they do it.

PS:Tdinoz wasn't the GirlyMan who was kicked out from Australia? As I recall having a great sense of pride about being a Nay-Sayer aka Do-Gooder" in fact as I remember They feel they are doing a Do-Gooder service to Humanity?
