Am I Being Scammed

I've done a lot of investing across many different platforms over the course of my life. But I've recently been offered a stock investment opportunity that sounds too good to be true. Basically, a broker called me from out of the blue, we had a conversation and the stock he was offering was being sold at below what I could get from any of my other brokers and, in fact, lower than the stocks list price on the DOW. Everything seems legit, and it's a blue-chip stock. It's just that something doesn't sit right with me about the way I was contacted, out of the blue like that. I guess I was wondering if anyone here had any thoughts on whether or not this company, Rockwell Securities are scam artists? Any advice would be appreciated, because I've been put under a bit of pressure to liquidate some other stocks I have while this offer is still open. Thanks in advance.

You should ask yourself why anyone would just contact you out of the blue with a wonderful investment opportunity. What's the motive behind it?

Genuine brokers have their own clients, they don't just contact people out of the blue, unless maybe you've had some dealings with that broker in the past and forgotten.

No, if you had the investment experience that you purport to have, you would immediately recognize that everything about the whole deal seems like a classic SCAM.

If you are being offered any stocks (blue-chip or otherwise) at prices lower than the open market determines they are worth, someone wants to rip you off. If these shares actually existed, the con artist could sell them on the open market and put the profit in his own pocket ... without having to make cold calls to "lucky" investors like you.

The most guaranteed "winning" investment decision you can ever make is to never buy anything from someone who cold-calls you. Don't let ignorance and/or greed talk bulldoze your common sense like this guy did.

It doesn't sound like a viable opportunity IMO, also, I don't know where you live but in some places brokers aren't allowed to solicit by phone and the penalties are pretty heavy if they do call someone they aren't dealing with, so they don't.

If your getting calls from numbers you dont know, you can look them up on http://www.tellows.com. It's a free website to verify or report if the number is a scammer.
It can be quite helpfull
