Re: Where to find No-Name bank issued Debit cards
I assume none of these can be obtained with visiting Austria or Italy?

Do you mean WITHOUT visiting? Just to make sense of your sentence.

If I knew what a Bankers Association is... But Unicredit Bank is one of Italy's largest banks and the Austrian Company is called PayLife Bank, though they only issue cards.
Heck, I wanted to share this YEARS ago but my thread was deleted.

1) you need to be resident in Italy
2) your personal data is connected to the card number
all of this applies to both the PostePay, Unicredit and PayPal card
the PostePay card can't be loaded by bank wire, works with PayPal withdraws though. PayPal and Unicredit card can be loaded with third party wire, but it is compulsory that the beneficiary is you when someone wires the money to the card.

Thanks for the update! I was not sure about the Italian ones - they don't speak English.
As for the Austrian ones - they told me in plain English that they work like this.

It looks like a great product, the Italian card aside. Somehow though, even in todays times I still think that the Swiss card offers the best privacy protection.
The Swiss card actually falls under the 1934 banking rules. The advantage the Austrian card has is that it's a bank product and if you happen to be in the neighborhood it's available without having to open an bank account if you don't want one,
Best Regards

Re: Where to find No-Name bank issued Debit cards
I need a Visa or MasterCard with which you can shop online, name on the card is not an issue but it must be loadable by bank wire and must be in USD currency. Should be cheap, too. Any ideas? (I already know the euro card.) any ideas? It's also no problem if you have to open the card in Person. No Neteller, Moneybookers and the like pls!

Re: Where to find No-Name bank issued Debit cards
@Slogold
"All serious bankers will recommend you not to use any card in your country of residence."
What do u mean with that? Do u mean anyone who has a credit card from an
offshore bank should first travel away from his country to get some money???
greetings,
Poorley
