I agree, but maybe just invest say 1k into HYIP's first, to just 'play' with, and get a feel for them and learn, save the rest until you have a better idea of them. All the best.

I am started to realize more and more the risk that is out there with HYIPs. I am with a program which I only invested $100 and is not the typical HYIP. I feel like I may have had some beginners luck. There seems to be a lot within the company being done to keep it running for many years.

i wouldn't put all 5k in one place but slowly place it on different hyips as time comes and you find good ones. There is no reason to put all ur money in 1 and risk it like that.
