Having been in several businesses over the years, now focusing on only online affiliate marketing, I have evaluated and used every medium known to the advertising industry.

We all know what worked yesterday does not mean it will work tomorrow, and as we look back over the history of advertising, Yellow Page advertising is a perfect example of what no longer is worth the money it costs.

When the internet went commercial, I saw this as the next great medium, and I was right, as were many others who jumped on the internet early on. I did very well converting my businesses to online businesses, and I jumped on affiliate marketing immediately. It is amazing how powerful the internet was and still is, but things are changing in the SEO world every day.

With Google constantly changing the SEO rules, it is near impossible for most to stay on top of these changes in order to stay on top of search engine results. With keyword change most recently, it killed many of my sites and knocked them off the first page, so I started to research alternate advertising mediums and strategies.

We all know email marketing has run its course, is was one of the best advertising mediums for years once internet took off, but not anymore, the spam blockers are now blocking up to 80% according to the industry experts, so as I have seen email marketing is a dying industry, so where do we go next? No doubt, text media is exploding, but how long before people get fed up with unwanted text ads, I am already fed up with them. lol

Television advertising is still the king, just ask QVC and Home Shopping Network with the billions of dollars in revenue from these monsters and infomercials. The problem with TV-Promotions is that you have to spend a lot of money and you are at the mercy of advertising agencies and their huge profits. Not any more, now you can get on TV and explode your traffic as an affiliate advertising agency member which allows access to all the insiders information and wholesale discount rates.

In my research, this new system where you can produce your own TV ads without the production costs of the major ad agencies or cable companies which offer production services. I had used TV advertising years ago in my traditional businesses, and spent several thousand dollars to produce first commercial, and this was just the up front costs, never mind the tens of thousands I spent on cable spots every month.

Technology is a wonderful thing, and now you can produce your own commercials, plus choose from custom templates, content, background music, custom voiceovers, and your market, all under your own control as an affiliate, simply amazing technology and you can save thousands over any other advertising agency rates. TV ads work, and you can explode your business with this new technology just as I am doing. Worth checking out, glad I did.

I do not agree with this statement! Well, not really agree. Yes paid traffic is good but what will you do when people will come to your site and there will be nothing new and interesting? So I think that the best traffic is unique and interesting content. People will find your site by themselves. Yes it will be longer but will bring you more profit!

I think blog commenting and link exchange is a great source og traffic.

Search traffic is the highest quality and converts the best - but difficult to get. Un-targeted traffic like click exchange is the easiest to get but does not convert.

Moral: There is no free lunch.

I have made the most money from articles and blog posts. Even article marketing is getting very difficult these days...

I've really been focusing on Social Media to get traffic to my site.
I managed to take my number of Twitter Followers to over 1000 in just a couple of weeks, all organically too (No Paid Followers).
Twitter brings in about 10% of my traffic at the moment, but its growing.
I've got around 250 Likes on my Facebook page which also brings in about 10% of my traffic.
LinkedIn Brings in about 25% of my traffic, using the groups well and being active member of discussions is a really big bonus.
Reddit, Stumbleupon probably account for about 5% of my traffic.
I'm always working and tweaking each Social Media to ensure that as well as new Visitors I get returning also.
