i agree that Oanda is great. I do not particularly like their web based interface as much as some of the client apps (interbankfx, fxsol) but overall they are a solid broker.
no fixed lot sizes is incredibly important for learning money management
spreads are low except during the news
they pay interest by the second.
they only offer 50:1 leverage but that should be more than adequate for most traders.
