Joyfund looks to be a very interesting prospect indeed. A friend of mine is currently auditing their trading accounts and can confirm their legitimacy.

The following is the synopsis taken from the current Joyfund site:

Joyfund unique objective is to offer investment opportunities based exclusively on actual trading.
Comparable funds like Hedge Funds in such configuration ask for a minimum investment of $50,000-$1,000,000 (if you want to have a look).
In order to bring high returns to small to medium investors, we have to face an administrative hurdle that does not facilitate trading. But as we strongly believe in providing to everyone what only a few can supposedly afford, we will manage, with your help, such administration.

Joyfund will provide you with several long term investment opportunities (based on real trading!). Each time one of its funds reaches the 1.5 - 2M$ capital (such amount is needed in order to justify the implied increased costs), several events will take place:

* It will be branched out to a new entity,
* Shares will be issued to investors proportionally to their investments,
* Costs will be rationalized toward a lower burning rate and thus a higher profit share for investors,
* An internationally recognized external audit will be hired,
* The fund will be opened to high worth investors thus increasing fund's long term reliability,
* Money Management rules will change to enhance capital preservation.

I was looking at this earlier today. FX and commodities. Would be interested in the details of your friends investigations if you can provide them? Also wondering if they will get Sensa or any other independant verfiications. The minimum amount for the commodities fund puts it out of my range for a 'test spend', so not going to rush into this one.

Too bad the FX fund is closed down now... 1,000 for the commodities is no small ask for my level of investment, however the past returns make it tempting.

Yesterday I think. Admin made a comment that he was unhappy with the performance....

The forex opportunities was driven by and automated program. No wonder that it's closed, no automatic software can be better than a human trader with an unpredictable market. It can works on long term but always with low results.

The commodities opportunities worths it, it's traded manually directly by the owner.

Small inside info, more opportunities should come soon or later
