I doubt Steven & Chris will run the site forever tough. The returns are too low to attract a lot of investors and they need at least a couple hundred thousand euro in capital before they can make a living out of it.(right now the total capital is around 40k so go figure)
Keep in mind, when there is a loss, the admins do not take any admin fees and dont earn anything. They only earn on profits(The small profit on fees charged for buying/selling shares go towards maintenance fees)
In the future, they *may* start doing something else. When the time comes that they no longer have time to trade for us or when real life becomes too time consuming, everyone will be refunded 95%(100% - 5% fee) and we will just move on from there.
I think the reality check here is that if you are honest as IS, you cannot really give the investors a very big return. As a result investors are rather disappointed and they simply do not invest a lot.
So you have 2 choices when you intend to run a hyip/lyip. Be dishonest, give a good return, people join you and you make a lot of profit as admin. Or...you are honest, you dont/cant give a good enough return, people do not join you and you dont make a lot of profit as an admin. So I really do understand why its tempting for admins to choose the first option. Much easier and you also earn a lot more. On the other hand, if you choose 2, you wont have any trouble sleeping at night

Have a good sleep at night is an important thing that's why I have invested in IS, but I also see the companies who offer forex managed accounts with about $1000 minimum and with yearly resurns 25%-50%. Do you think having that much per year trading forex is real?

Well IS has around 20-25% this year so far as well, ya know? Okay they had a very good start and already builded up 18% during the first 3 months of the year but thats exactly what forex is all about. Returns fluctuate a lot, you can never predict it. So yeah 25-50% a year could be very real.
The "best" forex traders gain between 20% and 50% profit each year most of the time(but a trader can also have a very bad year or a very good year, so sometimes its more, sometimes its less).
I sometimes look at some websites and see traders gain 200% in 6 months time. If you contact them, you can easily verify them and realize they are indeed speaking the truth. But I still wouldnt invest with them.
Why? Simple, These traders take insane risks, which sometimes pays off. If 10000 traders take these risks, 50 make such profit. Now these 50 traders are posted on the website. Next 6 months it are 50 other traders that make a profit. Now these 50 are posted. You see where I am heading too?
Past results dont guarantee future results!! Its not because a trader is in the top 50 list of most profits gained right now, that in a few months, this will still be the case.
Thanks for the info, so as af as I understood IS trades conservatively. So there will be situation like with FX-experts when Marcos had a great loss and was unable to pay the investors at all.

Yeah, they trade full lots with a leverage of 1:6. Most sites trade with a much greater leverage.(but much more risks)

I doubt IS will have such great losses one day. Herman(FX-experts) traded full lots with 1:100 leverage I believe. Chris(main IS trader) told me, IS trades full lots with 1:6 or lower.
The biggest losses in one single week, IS experienced so far were -13% at the start of nov last year and around -8% in the middle of juli this year. Both of which they recovered from, pretty fast.
When there is a nice +5% profit at IS(rare these days but it does happen like in august), you sometimes think why didnt they traded with a much higher leverage, they would had 10x as much profit? Just a +0.8% profit like last month would have been at least 8% profit if they traded with a high leverage right?
Altough thats indeed true, you need to keep in mind that losses will happen sooner or later, and when they do happen you better traded with a low leverage or your account is simply gone. If IS had traded with the same risks Herman traded with, IS would have crashed begin november last year and would had lasted 7 months. (-13% loss would have been over -130% loss instead) Now they are already 18 months old and still going. Thats the difference.
Chris and Steven are far from perfect, but heck at least they care about our money and work hard to avoid sever losses.
makila, Thanks for the explanations, do you know the plans of IS regarding e-currency processing? Do they plan to accept deposits via e-billion?
Nope, Steven doesnt like e-bullion last time I asked. IS will just stick to e-gold for now. Results will be in tomorrow, its probably similiar to last month, tiny profit. But we will see tomorrow..
