Who would arrest anyone? Cia, FbI, Interpol, IRS, HSM ? With all the cheap cloaking programs available on the web, even this post could be coming from BFE(gypt) Slander is a civil matter anyway.

I believe this would be a civil case - no arrests involved, court action-perhaps. But, I'm not an atty. Not even on here .!!!

Defamation of character is civil and criminal but it is rarely criminal. Also in this case it would be libel not slander. Slander applies mostly to speech, libel applies to a fixed medium.

That site is/was definitely libel and could be pursued in court. It is so because the guy is obviously making up 'facts'. However if you make a site about Felix that has true, proven facts and opinion you cannot be sued. To prove libel you have to prove that the person who wrote it knowingly made a false claim with the intention of harming somebodies reputation. The word false is key here, If it cannot be proven that you knew the statement you made was false at the time of making it you cannot be held legally responsible.

Also opinion is not libel, I can say:

"I think Felix is a low life parasite who feeds off of naive traders."

If it is opinion it is not libel.

Slandering on a public forum is not against the law. Nor is creating an opinionated thread. If he were to put up personal details of someone (like tom) he would then be breaking the law, and he would be fined. And open to any form of sueing.
