I never said you won't EVER have to enter your SSN with PayPal. Notice that line though...

This is hardly most the people on here. And certainly doesn't apply to new accounts.

I think you can actually go through $1000 or $2000 before they even begin to ask for this sort of information.

Personal account is very limited, they allow member to member transactions up to certain amount, no credit card payments, fund to fund only, i guess you are talking about personal account, also i assume you are not US citizen otherwise you would know why paypal requires SSN

I can tell you straigt out I've registered over 5 premier accounts with PayPal and have received over $200 through each (most of which were credit card payments).

I have never given a SSN to PayPal.

And no I'm not talking about personal accounts.

They didn't know I wasn't a US citizen.

I used a virtual card (works with any name or address) and a Virtual Money ATM card (has a linked US checking account).

WWW & privacy both are correct. Paypal asking for SSN when you try to recieve payment more then 2500 but sometimes if IP is from diffrent coutry then asking in start.
Now about this thread Talbert better if you register UK account, use your friend or family member name and identity if you dont want to scam
otherwise if you register any other country account & your IP is from UK paypal will limited your accout again & again & asking so many things which is hard for you to provide.
About UK bank accout paypal did not send 2 small amount to that bank account you enter while register. Use VM card for getting funds and enter VM as US bank account.
