WOW LOT OF MISINFORMATION IN THIS THREAD

First and formost i want to send my condolences to our Iranian brothers, it is unfortunate that your money has been taken from you, let Allah's (SAWS) wisdom and peace be upon you.

OK now couple of things:

1) EGOLD IS INCORPORATED IN AMERICA - This means quite literally that egold must bow its head and swear its full allegiance to the Federal government of the USA.

2) The current US goverment is headed by a group of brutal and vicious human beings the likes that the world has not seen since the fall of the Reichstag in the old German Federation. These people care only about 2 things: money, and power. They are a vicious mob and will demolish ANYONE or ANYTHING that stands in their way.

A couple of months ago President George W Bush signed an Executive Order further restricting the right to do business with Iran and N.Korea. This has apparently finally been pointed out to egold, no doubt by a high level communication directly from the Department of Justice (DoJ), think of the DoJ as what the SS was to the NAZI government except they wear business suits instead of uniforms. There is absolutely NO doubt in my mind that

EGOLD HAS BEEN FORCED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF THE USA TO IMMEDIATELY CEASE AND DESIST ALL TRANSACTIONS TO AND FROM IRAN AND N.KOREA

I do not blame egold one bit, they are not here to scam people they are here to make money. If they had of chose to not close all Iranian and N.Korean accounts they would have been what people in the USA call "railroaded" and when people say "railroaded" think of a small infant crawling along rail road tracks with a train bearing down at 80mph. The American goverment with OBLITERATE you and let your blood and pulverized organs dry on its cold steel carapace while it steams on ahead without even noticing you.

Egold had 2 options: close all Iranian and N.Korean accounts and continue operating, or face prosecution by the DoJ......the choice for them was NOT a difficult one to make.

Also keep in mind that all N.Korean egold accounts were also closed a LONG TIME AGO. The US goverment also arranged to have the same thing done to some shield accounts that the N.Korean goverment had at a bank in Macau, my sources tell me that the NK goverment lost over $200Million and was the DIRECT reason why the NK goverment tested its nuclear weapons.

My advice is for Iranians to only deal with EU banks and companies, in the US (atleast for the next 2 years) you money will find no safe haven. Do not blame egold, blame the US government.

Once again i hope that the grace of Allah (SAWS) will shine down upon our brothers in Iran and even though they have felt the sting of the thiefs dagger, their hearts will heal and once again they will prosper.

we have to find a good alternative. i dont have the trust on e-gold anymore. i cashed out all of my money last night. no.. im not from iran! but i dont want to be the next victim. i thought of shifting to libertyreserve coz its a good egold alternative. but their site is not loading anymore

There may be more there than meets the eye. For example a look into which iranians are using E-gold and if they may be affiliated with terrorism for the US Justice Dept. Thats a long shot though.

It definitely is not fair to confiscate their money though.

Well considering there is still room for arbitration ie: which means you may get your money dont you think it is premature to be calling them a scam being that it is illegal in your country to use E_gold?

I am using e-gold for about two years and have been a TG forum member for a considerable time but as you see I had preferred not to post and just follow others' valuable thoughts and experiences.What e-gold has all of a sudden done to us-the Iranian group of people who thought as a member of free global village they have a right or at least an opportunity to participate in some financial affairs by using an electronic currency which calls itself better money- cannot be described by any words other than indecent betrayal.
I know all about US sanctions and boycott towards our country.But e-gold could as many other companies like Paypal or Asianpay just refuse opening an account for us in the first place.They did allow us to open accounts and fund them hopefully and happily and now they have disabled them.If ever they were forced/ordered to discontinue their service for us,they could send us some warnings to withdraw our money.There was no prior notice nor have they put "value limits" on our accounts.They did not call for any documents or proof of anything to comply with anti money laundering laws.They chose the simplest way of deleting our accounts as there was never such account created ,or any money being put there.Do you define this action other than clear robbery?E-gold men would have actually thought:"While we have the power to wipe them off our database,why not take their assets by ourselves?Whose money is that?Some miserable people's who cannot do anything.They have no supporters anywhere.Our clients of other regions won't say a word when their money sits in accounts enjoying upward going price of gold". I personally have lost more than 6K and now feel most sorry not for that amount of money,but rather for the trust I had in great services of a company presented by their fake claims.

It's not illegal for the way that we are going!
I ask TG members please read last pages before posting,because I explained about it.
