Basiclly what it means is that on every $1 you put in you get .12 back for whatever amount of days so if it is 12% a day for 10 days that is 120% back on your investment which is $1.20 back per $1 invested.

The percentage daily "includes" your Principal amount, hence by the end of the term you end up with the Principal plus some profit.

e.g. 12% x 12 days = 144% which means you end up with extra 44% at the end of 12 days plus the original 100% Principal amount

hence effective % per day = 44/12 = 3.67%
