I'm not saying don't go after the small ones. If that's what you want to do, then knock yourself out. Everyone but the newbies know these programs are illegal and at some point the small ponzi is going to collapse. Sometimes that's the price you pay for education. So, maybe we have a two-fold purpose here. Educate newbies to the legalities of ponzies and scambusting. If people would stop putting their good money in bad ponzies, these admin/owners would think twice about starting another ponzi or starting their first ponzi.

I do not want to sound harsh, but newbies also need to learn a lesson as well what it is like in being scammed. If people get programs shut down? Then the newbies would not have learned a lesson. They then will turned around and take it out on people like Catty or others because they would see them as the bad guy, and that the program they invested in and all the members including themselves as victims. You learned the hard way, and educated yourself because you got scammed. I say, let people also learned the same way you did because they would not lesson to warnings until they themselves got scammed.

Re: Let's work together!
Here is a question that needs to be looked at too?
Is the stockmarkets around a well hidden ponzi scams? People have lost a lot of money in the stockmarket. There are several companies like Enron, Imclone, Tyco, WorldCom and others has caused a lot of money lost for the things they did. Look at Martha Stewart? She got away scott clean. I hoped she was put away for a long time.
Is the Social Security a hidden ponzi scam? I do not think so, but I do think that our Government are a bunch of crooks since Reagon's time raid the SS funds to used for the likes of War and all that. FDR created the SS program for the elderly to use, not to be used for other projects. I think our lawmakers should returned the money.
Stocks and bunds in the bank? Are they hidden ponzis as well? We do not know.
What about some of these HYIPs and autosurfs have a ligit product? HonestyHits is an autosurf that also have products for ebooks, website making, webscripting and so forth that is for sale, and they are still online the last time I checked. If these programs show that they do make money from other areas in profits and not from the members alone? Then, they could fall under as legal programs.
I think the ones that we should concentrate more on are the ones that make outrageous claims like 100% a day? Things like that. We know that they are the scam ones. Those are the ones that most of the people will flock to.

this was all just a standard Ponzi with site after site to carry the earlier ones!! started off normal but when they started to run out of money to pay with they turned Scam.
Huge fights on ASA at the time.
Let me see how much I remember about those scammers.....
I might be a little out with what came in what order and %(roi) but you will get the picture...
Jim & Harry were the admins
All started with Ravens something, a paid to click site.
Then came Surf The Sixties I think a 1% surf.
Next was Ravens surf (I was in this one) 2% daily
Then came muscle car surf(best looking site !!)
followed by Olypic surf(complete with copyright rings!!)
then came the super duper scam"the Pinical"(the $1000 one that TD mentioned.)
The idea was to climb the ladder and go from site to site as you felt comfortable...?????
Olympic & pinical were the ones with high minimum deposit. The others were normal $5 minimum.
Admin had some sort of a staged fight(IMO) over nothing and they Split. Harry was still paying the Pinical and Olympic(the 2 high % sites).
The idea of course was to pay the big spenders so they deposit more funds.
Jim just kept making excuses and blamed Harry for the mess!!!
Some Bloggers questioned why they needed so many sites all paying slightly diff ROI?? But the cheer leaders drowned them out!!
Bob Krimm has done much the same thing with one surf after the other.
EZ crew same thing they now got a new one after 6 failed surfs in 3-4 months.
They all the same, when money runs out they start a new one to carry the old.
Just like we saw with OCG(Online capital group) and with the EZ/WH/DA sites and we soon will see with Tri-Star when 1 falls they all fall.
Plenty of info in ASA as that was where Harry & Jim posted the most.
TD...not sure what other info you want so contact me if you need.
Was a few months back and I had forgotten about the money till you reminded me!!!
Hope this helps.

Here's a question for you, Oh Great Guru of the Cerebral Sciences.
If you should happen to see a man walking on the side of the road in the pouring rain, should you:
1) Stop and offer him your umbrella?
2) Tell yourself he needs to learn a lesson, and drive on?
3) If he's old, tell yourself it serves him right, he should have learned the lesson by now?
4) If he's young, congratulate yourself on the fact you can resist the urge to stop, thus allowing him to learn an important lesson?
5) Congratulate yourself for not interfering with his karma. After all, maybe the "universe" wants him to pay for a crime in a previous life, by his getting wet?
6) Drive through the nearest puddle and splash him with extra water, thus teaching him an even bigger lesson?
7) Ring the police, just in case there's something wrong, and he's a cold, lost and afraid elderly newcomer to the area?
8) Assume he's probably a bum who deserves everything he gets because he should have educated himself better and prevented whatever it is that put him in the rain in the first place, then drive on?
9) Drive to your nearest bar and hang with your like minded buddies and spend the night complaining about how "someone" should do something about all the stupid people walking in the rain?
10) Imagine what it would be like to be stuck in the rain yourself someday, then stop and give the guy a helping hand?
11) Recall a time when someone you knew had a bad experience being stranded in similar circumstances, and make sure it doesn't happen again?
12) Listen to someone elses' reasons why they wouldn't stop to help then go around boring people to death repeating the reasons parrot fashion without any comprehension of what you're saying?
Enlighten us poor plebs with your words of wisdom, Oh Great Oracle.

Re: Let's work together!
It is complete ignorance, stupidity and patronizing in the extreme to suggest that because somebody is old they do not know that if they get wet when out walking, it is likely to be because it is raining.

Hmmn, that's an interesting point, well made.
Unfortunately, other than to attempt to "discredit" the writer of the post to which it refers, it appears to have little or no relevance to the post itself or it's intent.
One might be tempted to think it were the work of a troll, if one were so inclined or so unkind.

This is not the same, LRM. What I mean is that we can warn people, but we can not forced them from not learn from their mistakes. We all need to learn from mistakes, and be wise about it. If we force people, or programs to be shut down? We would be looked upon as the bad guys, and that we stole from the victims.

Ah, now I see.
So,
when would you advise that web hosts be told that their customers are running illegal operations from their servers?
1) After you've decided the program "admin" is honest?
2) After the money is gone?
3) It depends on whether you agree with the laws that make it illegal?
4) After you decide everybody concerned has adequately learned a lesson?
5) Never, because there's other illegal activity, so why pick on this one?
6) Never, because the promotion of illegal activity is nobody elses' business, other than the people involved?
7) Never, because these are only small illegal operations and the big ones should be stopped first?
8) Never, because you don't like the person who's doing the reporting?
9) Never, because, for the first time ever, the "authorities" might be investigating one of the sites?
10) Never, instead of reporting the sites legally to the web host, you should take the law into your own hands and Ddos them?
11) Never, because you've decided there has to be another reason for doing it, other than a severe dislike of blatant lawbreakers and fraud?
Oh, and one more question:
