Yep, just as it should be. In other words if you invest say $1,000 and get back say $1,500 the receiver will take back the $1,500 and if the pay out is 50cents to the dollar you will get 50% of $1,000 i.e. a net loss of $500.

In my humble opinion, the receiver, SEC, government, whoever, should keep every penny without a thing being paid back to so-called victims and the proceeds then used to build a hospital or school etc etc. That way ponzi's would begin to wither on the vine. If participants knew before they started that if the thing turned out to be a scam they wouldn't see a red cent back, they wouldn't be so keen to throw their money at it in the first place.

I can't know for sure, but I would be willing to bet that some of the participants are as careful as admins with their actual information.

Totally agree but when one of the conditions for spends or getting paid more than $500 a month is to send in verified documents, well a lot of people fell for that line.

I would think that participants who know for a fact that the admins are scammers would not send them their real documents no matter what since it is inviting ID theft to happen, but who knows.

Hasn't it now become rather more difficult to remain anonymous regarding the transfer of money since the demise of egold and Stormpay etc?

I would imagine so, especially with Webmoney cracking down on exchages as well, but nothing that a little photoshop job would not solve.

Plus there are sites that offer really good novelty IDs rather cheap for those who can't make them themselves.

Really???? There are people about who resort to faking stuff? Whatever is the world coming too?

I've had some interesting discussions with 'others' regarding ID theft info, among other things. Had one person look up passwords that a trojan picked up off my system - over a year later. Off topic, but that stuff IS kept available, and 'sold'...
I'm a bit more careful now...
