lol So people like hearing themselves talk and bask in their glory, big deal. The information in the posts is useful and that's all that should matter for an internet forum.

The disclaimers are usually to protect the one who is making the disclaimers, I wouldn't expect it to do anything else.
I'm not sure I understand your problem with "TG putting their name to the opening post". The opening post is obviously to start the discussion thread which what you would expect an administrator of a forum to do - to start the discussion.
The reflink in the p2p text ad itself in this thread is hyipranks.

In other words, you aren't doing a thing to stop scams but are somehow in a position to criticize those who do.
It is a fine position, no doubt. A risk free one since no one is perfect and there is always something to pick on.

Hi Everyone: Hey, what's up with this thread? Why is a closed scam program being discussed for over a year?

Useful to who? You have read where tdinoz says threads/posts therein are welcomed by scam admins and big-hitters? She knows, you know.
The disclaimers are usually to protect the one who is making the disclaimers, I wouldn't expect it to do anything else.
Exactly

It reeks of hypocrisy to lend your name to a post inviting people to join an obvious scam and one in which the vast majority will lose money and then try to weasel your way out of accepting any responsibility later by adding at the end of the post that you do not vouch for any programmes.
The reflink in the p2p text ad itself in this thread is hyipranks.
Is that meant to make a point?

Yes I am in such a postion. Why shouldn't I be? Aren't you? S'funny I remember well you criticizing many a scambuster (so-called) including, I think, Ponzi Nemesis himself within the last day or two. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Obviously because the ponzi being discussed is still operating.
It was put in the closed/scam section by an ex-moderator me222 evidently because he was having issues with his own p2p account.

I would think to a significant portion of the TG members and some non-member readers.
You know, people who participate in HYIPs.
HYIP admins.
A few newbies who would not join the scene because of the info in the posts.
People who have a general interest in ponzies for whatever reason.
Etc.

As I said, I wouldn't expect a disclaimer to do anything else other than to protect the TG.
TG survives on advertising programs like p2p and from what I see it makes no secret out of it.
Where is the hypocrisy exactly?

Sure I am.
But what would you have them do exactly if their goal is to help to stop some people from getting burned in those games?
Of course if everyone stopped posting on forums like TG it would be a better scambusting effort than anything else but it is not going to happen because scambusters do not seem to share similar goals.
