David, you very well know my beliefs on marajuana legalization, you also know my views on "Personal Responsibility" . What adult human beings choose to do in the privacy of their own homes is their business.

FYI, I do not do drugs or drink, but my family and I were blindsided by a drunk driver several weeks ago resulting in myself suffering from several broken ribs and stitches in my head because the drunk driver hit us on the driver's side, and fortunately nobody died at the hands of a habitual drunk driver like your mentor Brenda's husband James. My brand new Dodge Grand Caravan was totalled, luckily we were not in my antique Mercedes 560SL or we would be dead.

I don't know if I would call it immoral Lita, but sometimes people who are afflicted with the disease of addiction can't help themselves. You opened up to me about somebody you love dearly who suffers from that disease, and my heart goes out to you. You probably watch that show "Intervention" hoping that you can possibly reach through that barrier and offer your support, love and help to your loved one who is suffering. I don't think these people are criminals or lost causes but the sad part is often the loved ones can't change the things that destroy families and everyone in contact with them.

I was a professional musician for almost 10 years in between my day jobs as a software developer and touring in bands I saw friends die of heroin or crack overdoses and some of the brightest minds of my generation ruined because of their own inabity to cope with reality without the use of intoxicants. Most of my friends who OD'ed were from better famalies than the one I came from, but I personally had no parent to enable me or for me to fall back on so I chose to leave that lifestyle and move on with my life. While I would never condemn anybody because I truly believe that God wrote the script and we are all just living it, I think a society has a responsibility as a whole because a society is only as strong as it's weakest member.

Lita, as long as you continue to hide behind your computer screen and *giggle* at others, "in my eyes", you are just another symptom of the problem that plagues society. I'd humbly suggest focusing on your own problems and stop trying to use anonymous people you meet online as the scapegoats for your personal problems...
