Jeff,
Unfortunately I agree with you. I am trying to speed up the process of sorting out the facts (for reasons that are known only to me, but are nonetheless important).
That said, I don't want anyone to ever get the idea that I think EBL is legitimate. I don't and never will. It's perfume on the Legisi pig, and people that followed JLPicard are sheeple heading to slaughter (IN MY OPINION).
I posted my conversation with the Pensco Trust people because I promised to do so - to put out the facts.
My real hope is that someone can present Pensco Trust with real evidence of the illegitimacy of EBL and Quest Holdings, so that Pensco Trust will disallow Quest Holdings as an approved transaction.
Doing so will save the unsuspecting from losing retirement funds to a scam.
Of course, this is only my opinion, and others are welcome to trash it.
See ya!

Metaphorically, you are correct. In reality, you are not "technically correct".
They do not share the same physical DNA, only the same mental DNA.
We can only hope that one day they can share the same fate.

1. Quest Holdings, Inc. is ON the Pensco Trust "approved" list.
2. Pensco Trust does allow SD-IRA holders to send funds to Quest Holdings, Inc.
3. Pensco Trust's DD is "are they legally incorporated", and to the best of their determination, they are involved in a legal business. It's not a very high bar frankly.
4. Pensco Trust DOES NOT ENDORSE any particular investment that an IRA holder may invest in.
5. This does not prove the legitimacy of Quest Holdings/EBL as a business enterprise.
6. If Pensco Trust was to receive definitive information regarding Quest Holdings/EBL that lead them to believe that EBL was somehow engaged in an illegal business, they would then removed the company from their "approved" list.
I have contact information for a person in their San Francisco Compliance office should the need arise.
So, EBL'ers, its PARTY ON

Let's have this approval thing in writing posted here ; an e-mail from pensco would do or an e-mail from EBL confirming this
In the meanwhile, it are just words in the wind..perfect in line with the HYIP tradition of outrageous claims

You might not want to count on a 'pensco approval' deal as being a 'positive'.
Myself, I'd rather see an SEC licensing for EBL, but - there isn't - and that's likely to be a factor down the road. As I, and others, have pointed out, the 'funds going in' side has been 'beaten to death'. But, the bottom line is - where and how 'profits' are being generated. (Real estate? Hopefully you're aware of where the market on that is right now...)
But - that's not a problem, as all of the 'ebl' members are getting a statement of exactly where they are financially, and preferably from an outside accounting firm... Right?
Just my opinion,
Jeff

Might be worth considering 'asking' someone with the 'power' to take a real look... The US SEC perhaps? I've seen some 'success' with going through political avenues also - some 'political representatives' might be happy to be able to put the 'fact' that they had a role in 'saving' a bunch of people from losing money on a scam, on THEIR resume, a 'feather in their cap', so to speak. Might help to 'approach' it from that angle?
Applying 'pressure' carefully, can have results, if handled properly.
Just my opinion,
Jeff

Of course, if someone was to do this little exercise, that someone would need to be particularly careful as to the wording used.
We all know "Quest Holdings" is a legal entity and is registered in Nevada.
BUT, exactly what is the legal standing of "EarnByLoaning"
Note the way Jolly Craig explains it in one of his infamous "NOBS" "interviews"

So, it's entirely probable that "Quest Holdings" HAD a relationship with Pensco, Paypal and E-Gold, BUT that fact DOES NOT indicate approval of EarnByLoaning or any other "online presence"
As an aside, what exactly is an "online presence" anyway ???
Does the term carry any legal standing ??
Does the fact that "Quest Holdings" is an LLC in Nevada protect its "members", or does it merely protect its' management and directors by limiting liability to the corporation ???
Does LLC status protect its' management and directors from criminal liability ?? (Hint: ask Charis Johnson and the guys from CEP, they know all about it)
