You should close it and leave the exchanging to the business professionals. Would help talkgold's reputation. A lot of exchangers wont post here anymore.. Threads always wind up in the war zone.

I don't understand. I deal with thousands of dollars in egold, ebullion, paypal, and money bookers every week, yet I never have a reason to ask someone for an exchange. I use the exchange services.

Would you mind sharing with us which registered exchange services are accepting your MoneyBookers and PayPal?

Also, are there any providing you with MoneyBookers and PayPal?

Yes exactly what I was thinking, my website ecdce.com has had absolutely no business in quite a while and I plan on shutting it down very soon and moving toward e-bullion/moneybookers/epassporte/paypal etc.

But now with this news of money exchange shutting down it is very depressing for my hopes of doing this.

Also by shutting it down everyone will be losing their good reputation here and may think since their losing it anyways why not go out with a scam, so by trying to stop scams you may actualy increase them and people with good reps may scam towards the last days of money exchange being open since there reputation will be lost anyways.

I realy beleive the talkgold admins should allow money exchange to stay open BUT no longer allow new people to come into money exchange.

this is a very very sad new. i think, like many here, this forum should stay open to reliable and trusted exchangers and let the people decide what they do. for those who think about using some kind of verification, i second that.
as i see this situation, maybe the solution would be to make a private section where all exchangers were verified and new users should prove it too before to start dealing on any way.

One more question:-
Will this folder be shut down but still accessible in 'read-only' mode? IMHO, it would be preferrable than deleting it altogether, as it still can serve as helpful source of information - like lists of good exchangers, lists of scammers' username and emails, general exchange principles, etc. It would be nice if we can keep our iTrader Ratings, too

Great in theory, but it just doesn`t work. Do you think would-be scammers would be worried about having to pay say $10 a month to access a private folder? If anything members might put even more trust in them because they are willing to pay the monthly fee. That won`t stop scammers.

It already IS a strict rule that exchanges are done at members own risk. It still doesn`t stop the scams, the complaints, and those who have been banned from complaining that they were wrongly banned.
