Money Exchange folder to shut down

Having said that I should also say that there are undoubtedly those like gpmac12 who have proven themselves over quite a lengthy period of time to be above reproach in their dealings.

I do genuinely feel very sorry for those ones. Unfortunately the idiots have spoiled it for the decent folk.

Perhaps each person who want to be exchanger should send his id to admin staff

We appreciate that some of you are disappointed but TalkGold explained why the Exchange folder is to close. This was an announcement, not an opportunity to debate the subject.

Quite frankly, we are sick of the scammers and the amount of time it takes for us to investigate when a scam has been reported to us. We then get complaints (under new usernames) when a scammer feels they have been wrongly banned, we have had to deal with the scammers' supporters/cheerleaders, post count building and a whole load of issues that will be eliminated when the folder is closed.

You have all been given some time to establish your contacts so that your business can continue away from this forum.

It is a real shame it has come to this but the scammers have spoiled it for everyone.

This is probably only the second or the third time that I am visiting the exchange folder.

What a coincidence that the number of my posts reached 50 today and this folder is closing down. (Believe me, I have not raised my post count just to post here)

But this folder sure has helped everybody a lot in terms of information.

I hope the administrators will at least archive all of it even if there is no way out to save it from closing down.

If we are able to keep our reputation will the members who have proven themselves honest still be able to exchange via pm and continue to leave eachother feedback?

If so that would be a great solution to the problem.

There will be no problem at all with people dealing with each other via PM.

I'm not sure about the iTrader rating situation, I'll ask and post here later.

I still think the best solution is to close the Folder for new posts (make it read-only). This way, no new scams will be made possible, but it would remain part of TG history and may be valuable source of info.

This would be a great suggestion, but scams can
continue using PM.
We can and will find out a way to stop scammers.

Admins and Mods, you are not alone here, we will
do our best to stop them.
Suggesting to increase days and # of posts to 250 right now.
How does it feel to scammers?
Any idea / suggests ?

If this folder is closed, then where would we submit feedbacks?
In this case Itrade system should be enabled on Advertising and DebitCards folders also.

That still won`t stop the scammers who`ll do anything to get to use that folder.

Personally my preference is for possibly existing ratings to be shown when all the threads are archived, but not to allow any new ratings. If we`re going to cut exchanges off then we can`t have half measures, otherwise there`s not a lot of point in closing the folder in the first place.

I agree that wont stop them, but will annoy them, 250 days / post is not easy to gain, this will filter some of scammers

I do not agree, if you are not going to close down debitcard folder, then Itrade system will be useful, I would like to receive feedback as a seller in that folder.
Also that would be a good system when a service is offered in Ads folder.
What do you think about it ?
