I have reviewed all Ebay's policies, you Can sell e-gold under section:

The problem is using paypal. Pay pal will not accept payment for e-gold, because of chargebacks on accounts. Scammers buy e-gold, then file a non-receipt of goods, which can be disputed...all in all, Paypal will freeze your account due to chargebacks. Chargebacks can be hazardous to the seller, as your credit card will be used to honor a dispute from a scammer. I suppose you could hold a preauthorized auction, where your buyers are known, verified and high feedback. Don't risk what you are not willing to lose.
Selling e-gold with money transfer, bid Pay or money order would be a wise choice.
There are many e-gold sales on Ebay. Mostly from Brazil. Canada and US have different federal legalities on selling metals.
