Exactly,
If you look at the industry, I feel it is in wind down phase, and maybe that is why Google is looking to diversify with cell phones and now Chrome browser, so I am sure they see more than we see about the declining revenues with PPC. Hey, I was glad I was in it from start for there was some great income realized, but it has been a steep decline in past couple years, worse now that the recession is so severe and all advertising revenues are shrinking.
I also feel the social media industry has cut into PPC revenues and with more people using these social mediums to promote their products and services, I see a massive shift away from PPC, just as email marketing dried up, so too will PPC over time. Just look at TamPogo.com, it is encapsulating all that social media is offering, but with a commercial direct from manufactures model like WalMart and Amazon combined provides. You look at all the people on Twitter, a fad for sure, but never the less, another outlet for marketers. I see TamPogo as the next trend in promotional strategies, and this will further erode PPC revenues over time.
Success to all,
