Re: Who are the newbies, and should we really care about them?
May I point out what Mr.G pointed out about our late freind. It does not matter about scam busting, but more about someone's criminal background that is a question if they are running a scam program. James Montroy aka Jay Dillar for JaysPaidEmails scammed people out of money, and he got arrested. We found court cases of his past, and he was registered in the state of Wisconsin as a Sex offender. He did pleaded guilty for providing porn to children. We all really do not know the background of these owners from all types. They could have criminal past which could include rape, putting kids in harms way and so forth. I am not saying everybody is like that, but a lot of these scam artists do prey on the weak. Does not matter what form it is. Alot of these programs are a front, and are too good to be true. The victims in all these failed programs indirectly does harm children in some form or fashion. Like the parents losing their homes and the whole family becomes homeless, children go hungry when parents fall for these scams and lost money and so forth. Do gooders like me think about the children, the elderly, the disabled who can suffer the most from all these scams. Now, the issue with these program owners in question is about what is their history of criminal records? Are they lying where they said they are from? Are they setting up fake addresses and phone numbers? Where are they hiding out at? That is why people need to be very extra careful on who they can trust on the internet. Are some of these people just collecting people's identities so that they can commit crimes using their names or what?

No Spitfire, there is noting in common between what she was doing there, and scams.... Nothing at all. Besides, some of your own methods to try to make "some change" are not above criticism....

Re: Who are the newbies, and should we really care about them?
The Newbies (as far as HYIP SCAMS are concerned) are people who are lacking in the most fundamental education as to:
1. What real investing is or is not.
2. How punk crooks use the internet to lie about who they are and what they are doing in order to steal money.
3. How many of their fellow human beings are willing to profit from their ignorance by "playing along" with the punk crooks.
As we raise our children, we try to educate them as to the dangers of the world and teach them to "treat other people the way you would want them to treat you".
Practicing what we preach requires honestly sharing information with our fellow human beings, including "The Newbies".
Otherwise, they get chewed up and spit out by vultures like this:
"Hyips should scam only the outsiders, the ones who invest last. The ones who hear about the program from relatives, friends, or "partnership programs". The so called "offline investors", who have no knowledge of this forum or the hyip scene. This way, the people with hyip knowledge would invest first, getting their money and consistent profits back, therefore helping the hyip grow and become powerful and able to reach the folks offline, which will ultimately mean wealth for the admin and for the ones who supported him in the first, essential months"

Re: Who are the newbies, and should we really care about them?
Actually the original post has a few valid points. But you are right. Human stupidity and ignorance has no limits. It does not help, when majority of North Americans have no idea what geometric progression is, and why HYIP long time sustenance is mathematically impossible. Yet many of them have more money than their more intelligent neighbors. Some of this money was obtained through the crimes of their ancestors.... Would you say it is fair to take it back? ;-)

I think people should share information and warn people about scams, but if the common people have the information and still want to "invest" money in such scams expecting that "this time is diferent", so they deserve to lost money.

Re: Who are the newbies, and should we really care about them?
Newbies are the reason this forum even exists. anyone who has been in HYIP for a few years very well knows that you will lose more than you win and will quit HYIP. Now these newbies fill in the gaps that are left behind by these old quitting investors and so the cycle of scam continues until everyone burns in hell.

That's quitter talk. If you get some inside info or just plain get in early, you are likely to profit. There is money to be made, just not as easily as back in 03.
