Yet at the time when were discussing this as mods you wrote to the effect that if we must have a rule for trolling you`d go along with the definition we came up with?

Emphasis mine, doesn't "if we must" answer the question ?
I was in the minority and we had to move forward. It was always 'a thorn in my side' to borrow one of St Pauls euphemisms.
'Trolling' was one factor. the whole politics thing got to me. When I signed up, naysayer mods were the norm and I fit right in, when mods who wanted to play the scams and 'cheerlead' were appointed I didn't and in order for it to be workable I had to compromise.

If you want me to name names, it isn't going to happen, but you'll get a big clue by seeing which mods have 'money making ops' in their sigs. I was frequently in conflict with mods who were on the opposite side to me. I was appointed a mod when mods who 'played the game' were unheard of. I honestly believed it was a conflict of interest, I still do, but TG isn't my forum, I don't appoint mods (I've recommended a few in my time tho) and to do the job I had to accept what other mods did. The episode with PI and 'Pluggy's HYIP' was the straw that broke the camels back, I'd been is position of compromise for months prior to that and compromise is stressful. I got out, I don't regret it and I don't want to come back, but I reserve the right to whinge about it in the WZ

I've yet to formulate an opinion on Teamearners........
I have occasional chats on IM with a current mod and I joking referred to TE as 'The Rich Jerk take 2' he said 'Funny you should say that........'

That's it in a nutshell. Says it all quite succinctly, I think. Whilst it may have been different in the past, now it should be obvious to anybody that there are only three possible reasons why present TG mods are mods.
1)They are Brian or Geoff's "yes" men and are addicted to kissing their arse.
2)They see it as an excellent opportunity to feather their own nest.
3) They are raving megalomaniacs.

Re: A warning for humor? WTH?
We encourage a variety of views which includes those who are active in HYIPs and those who aren`t.
That`s what freedom is all about isn`t it? Or, is it only `freedom` if mods are so-called nayslayers?
If, of course, the forum isn`t run according to your liking you do have an option....

Pluggy,
I used to admire you when you were a Mod. In the last few days, however, you have gone down in my estimation. I hope you and the other "Experienced Ex-Mod" don't go down as far as Los!
