It seems like Ian didn't have the decency to go over to the rust bucket and tell them of his decision to take a leave for a while. You'd think that would be his priority . Actually it was, I posted a message at the SSP at the same time _ again get your facts right. . to let the "good" members know what's happening. . . . but no . . .he chose to come here and tell us first. So no I didn't make assumptions at all and no I'm not wrong and yes I got my facts right . . . you did NOT tell the members. You may have gone into the "lounge" and told the crew hands and petty officers and the swabbies . . . but you did NOT tell the members.

So I guess I don't understand why you thought your "leave" wasn't something the members would want to know. And why wouldn't whoever is in charge of the rust bucket . .. oh yes sorry . . .that would be Captain Anonymous think it important for the members to know? After all you told us here, didn't you? Don't you think the members deserve the same courtesy? Why tell us and not them?
