What I am talking about is that the regulations need to be put back in place. You can not have a free market that is running amock that brought the economy down. For a free market to work? There needs to be some type of rules and regulations in place. Food, electricity, water, health care and some other things that are part of survival should have a price cap. Do you know that the Doctors Without Borders in Tennessee said on CNN that many of the poor that can not afford health care, and do not qualified for for Medicaid and all that, plus that Medicaid does not cover everything that many of the citizens in this country are in the third world country level of citizens. The problem is that many people worked hard and still can not afford buying food and all that. The problem you forget is that the DHS or Department of Human Services gives out way too much in food stamps to women who only get pragnent to get that and Medicaid. The problem that we have seen here where I live is that our DHS give women in brand new expensive cadilacs and a bunch of kids $200 worth of food stamps. We even saw illegal aliens get food stamps and Medicaid as well. That upsets both my parents and me as well. Me and my mom get denied for Medicaid. We only get like $80 food stamps a month. We did not go out and get a loan for a house that we could not afford. We found a home that was in our means of living from the loan. Now, tell us that we were stupid for getting the loan? We had to get a loan for the house when we first moved here in 1995, because the rent issue was that apartments and landlords of houses do not take pets. We choose the cheapest house on the market. Now, tell me that the past few years under your dear old President Bush caused all this? I say that all this began back when Reagon took charge.

People losing jobs left and right since the businesses started outsourcing when the first Bush was in power. People lost more jobs to the NAFTA and CAFTA issues. The FDA is a big joke because they allowed tainted junk from China, India and Mexico into this country. I do not hate the people from these countries, but their government need to put better regulations and that in place to ship safe products instead of tainted products that kills babies, children, the elderly, men, women and our pets. We need a Revolution to remove the Republicans and Democrats out of office, and start putting people in who will do better for the people of this country.

If I rule the USA, this is what I would do.

Placed a cap on pay for these over price people who never did one bit of real hard work in their lives. I mean the crooks who run these companies into the ground.

2nd, force all utilities to lower their prices by over $200 on every bill. There is no way for our eletric bill be that high since it is not run on oil or gas. It is run off the dam or water power, plus we have a Nuclear plant here as well. My local electric company is a crook.

3rd, place a salery cap on these so called cheating ball players in all the sports.

4th, lower the prices of films in theathers. That way a lot of people can flock to see the films again.

5th, get all food affordable again where the poor can buy fresh fruit, veges, milk and all that. Plus buy hamburger and other types of meats where they cost under $1 a pound.

6th, have a fair tax system where everybody have to pay their share by a percentage.

7th, go after all the tax cheaters who tried to hide their money offshores.

8th, have a program where from taxes, people can apply for a grant to start up a business.

9th, I will make sure that old houses should never ever be more than what it was worth when first built.

10, I will make sure the banks who got all the tax dollars for the bailout plan should wipe away all the debt of who owe what. That includes house loans, credit card loans, car loans, school loans and so forth.

11, I will force all the drug companies, hospital, medical care industry, Health Insurance and drug companies to lower all the prices to make it more affordable for everybody where the poor and rich don't go broke or in debt because of an illness.

Now, Cisco. Does that make you uncaring for other people who got into trouble because somebody got ill and go into debt because the crooks in these big businesses rob people blind? When I was a kid in Arizona, I did had a saving account started up. Since then, we could not afford to have a savings account. Why? Because the cost of living went up, and we had to go from paycheck to paycheck. When I was like 16 to 18 in high school? At the end of the month, we had days where we did not eat at all. You seem to not understand how bad it was being poor? I do. I did worked hard for my paychecks back then in the early 1990's. If I did not had the electrical shock at work? I would not have found out about the bone spurs and bad discs in my back. Now, I am even more worst off. They opened a free clinic in my area. I have not been very steady lately. I fell back in December. I mean I went down left side first. My left side is numbed and all that. I do not have dizzy spills and all that. It is just the spurs and discs doing this to me. I am on medications again to try and get the pain and numbness to go away, and it is not working. If this does not clear up by the end of next month for the second clinic? I would have x-rays done and all that. If it shows that my situation have worsen? Then, I do not know what to do. I can not do work at mcDonald's to flip burgers, nor can I do Wal-Mart and all that if I can not stand on my feet when I am losing my balance. You, and other people do not understand about my situation. If you can understand what I am going through? You may say something different. So, if you can tell me something else that can be better for me and my parents? I would like to hear it because it seems nothing is working for us right now.

Plus, I also fell through my bathroom floor in December when part of the floor gave way. So, don't tell me what to do, and all that. Unless you can start understanding my situation even more.

Wow, Spit, You're even nuttier than I thought you were. What you're ranting uncontrollably about reads like a Socialist manifesto. Many of your 'wants' were tried during the Carter administration. It helped fuel a much deeper recession than we're facing today.

You, like the rest of the dems continue to blame Bush for everything that's wrong. I like to call it revisionist's history. Bush didn't create NAFTA. You need to do a little research before you so openly show your stupididty. I could go on and on, but I won't. This is Awty's thread and I'll let him lead it where he wants it to go.

Just one more thing, Spit. You still haven't taken responsibility for your own situation. Again, I gave you some easy to do, practical advice on how to help your family and you haven't done it yet. I doubt if you ever will. It's so much easier to blame Bush than actually take some positive steps, isn't it?

My friend, Cujo, recently reminded me what de Tocqueville wrote in his book on America. He wrote that democracy will last until the voters figured out they could vote themselves funds from the public treasury. I'm afraid we've come to that point! We're on the verge of having more takers of funds than people who supply those funds.

I agree. Wealthy people are being unfairly over-taxed by the existing progressive tax system.

Keep running your mouth Cisco. It shows how a bad person you are even for you to attack me when I am not in a position to do anything to help my person. I am on three different medications right now, and it makes me drowsy. I also went to the eye doctor as part of the free clinic Thursday. I am going to go to bi-focals now. Plus, he told me that I am at the beginning stages of cateracts. If you have any care in the world? Put yourself in the place of people like me. Put yourself in a wheelchair, or tie a arm behind your back, or put an eye patch over one eye. Do anything to understand why many hard working people are becoming poor. People can not take their kids on vacations to Disney Land or all that. MrGHS might speakup about medical conditions if I name all the medications that I am on right now.

Mobic for the discs and the numbness. It is hard for me to type right now because all my fingers are numbed and my left hand is completely numb then my right. My left foot and toes are completely numb then my right. I can not walk or do things right now in fear of falling down again.

I am also taking Neurontin for the pain relief for my neck because of my bone spurs.

I am also taken Methocarbamol for me to take to relax my muscles which could ease the pressure on my spinal cord while I sleep.

If you think I can go out and get a job? You are wrong. What jobs are there in my area? Fast food places? Wal-Mart or stores? Tyson's and other factories? What do you want me to do? Get a job where I could have an accident where I kill myself? Is that what you hoping for? Me to drop dead trying to do a job that I can not handle? Go take a flying leap. Nobody cares what you have to say on this forum anyways.

Hey knucklehead. I'm not attacking you for not getting a job. In fact I wasn't attacking you at all. What I was referring to was this. You needed to seek out the help of private agencies that help financially strapped families. There's thousands of them out there. As I told you months ago, they won't come looking for you. You have to look for them.

Here's another one. Cancel your internet connection. It's a luxury, not a necessity. Save yourself and your family some money.

One last thing. Neurontin isn't for the pain of bone spurs. It's for the treatment of shingles or seizures.

Excuse me. The food banks are getting bare lately, and not enough food for everybody here.

I also told you that we tried Salvation Army, and they would not help us unless we have children living in the house.

The program that helps pay our electric bills only allow you to get help once every 6 months.

The Mission in town would not help you unless you were sent by the DHS, and then they ask if anybody is working in the household. The people there are snotty in a way in trying to help people.

I have asked around before, and there is not much in my area to get help. We do not live in city like Little Rock, New York, Miami and other big towns. I told you that before. We have looked and searched around before with no luck for help.

Oh, as for the Gabapentin or Neurontin? The deal says it helps with certain types of nerve pain and other nervous system disorder.

THE BEST Explanation of the economic stimulus bill

Shortly after class, an economics student approaches his economics professor and says, "I don't understand this stimulus bill. Can you explain it to me?"

The professor replied, "I don't have any time to explain it at my office, but if you come over to my house on Saturday and help me with my weekend project, I'll be glad to explain it to you." The student agreed.

At the agreed-upon time, the student showed up at the professor's house. The professor stated that the weekend project involved his backyard pool.

They both went out back to the pool, and the professor handed the student a bucket. Demonstrating with his own bucket, the professor said, "First, go over to the deep end, and fill your bucket with as much water as you can." The student did as he was instructed.

The professor then continued, "Follow me over to the shallow end, and then dump all the water from your bucket into it." The student was naturally confused, but did as he was told.

The professor then explained they were going to do this many more times, and began walking back to the deep end of the pool.

The confused student asked, "Excuse me, but why are we doing this?"

The professor matter-of-factly stated that he was trying to make the shallow end much deeper.

The student didn't think the economics professor was serious, but figured that he would find out the real story soon enough.

However, after the 6th trip between the shallow end and the deep end, the student began to become worried that his economics professor had gone mad. The student finally replied, "All we're doing is wasting valuable time and effort on unproductive pursuits. Even worse, when this process is all over, everything will be at the same level it was before, so all you'll really have accomplished is the destruction of what could have been truly productive action!"

The professor put down his bucket and replied with a smile,

"Congratulations. You now understand the stimulus bill."

Courtesy of CNN

Headline?
"Obama budget director: We'll cut pork after '09 spending bill"

After?

AFTER???

******************************************
The spending bill contains nearly $8 billion in earmarks, which are pet projects of lawmakers on both sides of the aisle.

In a debate last September against Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, Obama discussed earmarks and vowed to go "line by line to make sure that we are not spending money unwisely."

Obama has vowed to sign the spending bill.
*******************************************

"Change", 'as usual'...

But, it's not just Obama....

*******************************************
While many lawmakers consider at least some of the pet projects worthy, most openly reject the system of slipping earmarks into the bill to try to bring home as much "pork" as possible. But many of those who have complained about earmarks also have earmarks in the bill. They argue that until everyone is prevented from taking part in the process, their states or districts should not lose out.
*******************************************

'openly reject', but approved because they 'don't want to miss out'...

Liars and theives, the lot of 'em...

And, some call this a 'crisis of confidence'...

Anybody wondering why?

News for you idiots in Washington - It ain't YOUR money that's being extorted!
How about, since you're employed by the government, which has to answer to the people, (NOT the other way around, FIGURE IT OUT!).
maybe the citzens of the country should be in charge of your paycheck (NOT you, although guess who chooses to vote THEMSELVES a raise?)

Of course, there's always the argument that citizens who ***pay their taxes*** should have a voice (HINT HINT HINT)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

" -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth. "

Or - has it already?

Myself, I much prefer 'by the people', rather than 'by the politicians', and 'for the people', rather than 'for those who support said politicians'.

Just another US citizen, dishearteningly disappointed, and mad as he**.

Oh, and if I can add - I DO hope that the people who chose to send out peanut products, KNOWING that they had detected salmonella...
I can only hope that they're treated the same as the people from China that sent out 'melamined' milk...
