Either way you look at it, betting systems never work. The martingdale system works if you have an expert sports picking to pick the games, on another forum there is a poster who started a little system to pick up some extra cash by betting $20 a game, and doubling it etc (progresive system) as he has never made 7 incorrect picks in a row (its the 7th that kills you).. at the moment hes done 243 picks and is up +$3420.00 so i guess its working but he's an expect at making game selections and at one point did have 5-6 in a row that lost so its still a bad way to go about it.
Only real way to make money by sportsbetting is to analyse the games, make good selections and money management
Just to say that on the previous thread I reported some statistical analysis which I had done using an up & down progression and that, yes, it is best to stop the progression after 7 losses as it becomes unlikely to recover.
I like Mr martingales system............However 1 small problem I think his pricing for his service is a bit OUT OF LINE.
Way to pricey if you ask me..................The only service that I know of in all of cyper world that is more then him is 5 grand a year.
I think if he lowered his pricing a bit a lot more customers could join and then we could see if his past and present results are True in nature.
As far as services I do feel that plusline sports has a nice attractive price for services and that is ran by Frank B and his partner James.
In regards to JM MLB system I dont see that as an attractive profitable system at all. If you lose 2 series you go broke Period.
His NBA system that he stold from James mcknight via ebay is a great system and even without buying the 3 points.
Allen moody has a great deal of knowledge however he isnt the Holy grail either.
Here is the bottom line to it all........Without a true betting system in place you will go broke with just about system win or lose talk to me after 1500 wagers placed.
I can say at least DR Bob has it correct any service or system is INVALED until 1500 wagers have incurred.
Hell you can play the 3 game streak system in MLB just jump on the team that is winning or losing after 3 games and you can pump out about 60-80 units of profit over the course of the season.
This is one thing I NEVER UNDERSTOOD. If you have such a great betting system WHY SELL IT ?????? Get rich on your own and call it a day why deal with the public and the B.S. that comes along with it ???????

A couple of things I appreciate about MrMartinGale's system as I see it
standing on the outside of his subscription service and looking at his
web site alone:
1. He gives away HIS SYSTEM for free
2. His system is easy to understand as it it written by a native English
speaker and writer. Compare that to the B.B. systems which are not
written by a native English speaker and take some reading over again
in order to be able to understand.

I was all about betting systems, trying to find the one that would work. JM, Tennis, Soccer... the list goes on and on.
The simple matter is there is no system.. naturally this not 'news' to anyone. here. However, what I also believe is that whilst everyone here has come up with some good modifications, at the end of the day it all revolves around probability. Martingale and versions of it etc are all using probability and it is likely to catch up with us all sooner or later. Betting 6 times in a row etc naturally have low probabilities of losing them all in a row, but if you bet long enough it WILL happen.
Modify all you want, but we are just using probabilty to lessen the loss or 'series'. But when we do lose, it can dimish your stack considerably.
So why not go with something that is lower risk but sure to profit....? Sounds easy and it is (sorry if this sounds like an infomercial).
It is quite simply straight betting!!!!
Here are some numbers:
Bet Amount per game - $100
Average Odds - 1.91 (i.e handicap market)
Over the last year:
Wins: 475
Losses: 350
Win ratio: 57.58%
Profit - $8,225.00
It is that easy!
As you can see, a 57.58% winning ratio is very reasonable and certainly not unrealistic. However, how do we hit such a ratio considering we are placing on average 3 bets per day.
Well if you don't have the knowledge of sports yourself (I do, but only for AFL), simply buy the picks. There a tons of handicappers out there and most will charge from $500 - $1,000 for the year.
So what's the big deal if you see over years gone by that they have hit winning percentages of 55% - 63%. If I said to you, give me a $1,000 and you'll make $8,000, you would do it. So do it!
Unlike all these other systems, if you going on losing runs you lose no more than your $100 (or what ever units you use) per bet. Your capital is never dependent on one or two series and far better protected. With such winning percentages, in the long run you will profit and profit big and it is SOOO easy.
I'm not selling anything, but would like to share my success as this forum has given me many ideas and helped me get to where I am today.

Not true....Probability remains the same no matter how many times in a row you lose....
Toss a coin over and over and it lands on heads 37 times in a row....
You're 38th toss still has a 50/50 chance of landing on heads or tails....
There is NO system that can predict the outcome of the 38th spin...

Wrong!!!!!....Toss a coin 6 times and there is just as much chance of 6 heads coming as there is 6 tails coming or 3 of each or 2 heads and 4 tails
Each time you toss a coin you got 50/50 chance of landing on heads or tails...
The probability NEVER changes...It's ALWAYS 50/50 no matter what previous results were....
There is no system that works other than picking winners....
Each time you spend money on some new betting system the ONLY person who wins is the scammer who sold you the BS system
