You ask for tricks of the trade. Here is one that might help you in some cases (not all cases). If your using stop losses, lets say you have a buy order in on what you feel will be a 50 pip gain. Your in the profit by 20 pips. Some brokers will let you move your stop loss, some will not. If you can move your stop loss, move it up into the profit zone, say 10 pips under your present profit. Keep moving it up as your profit increases. Doing this will leave you with some profit, if thing take a turn for the worse, your moved stop loss will keep you some of your profit. If the order changes and starts going back in your favor again, you can always place a new order. Hope this helps a bit…

Analyze the brokers trading platform. Are you comfortable with it? Does it have all the necessary information you need to trade? Is there a market news feed somewhere in the corner or somewhere else on the site?

3.) Mini/Micro Accounts
If you are a beginner, try looking for a broker which offers Mini & even micro accounts. For just a few hundred bucks you can test your trading skills, hone your market savy & learn the tricks of trading forex.

4.) Instant Execution of Your Orders
This is an absolute must! If execution isn't instant, as soon as you place your order, find a new broker.

5.) Do Your Research
Look online & check out forums for reviews of the broker you're thinking of trading with. Make sure that they have been around for a long time & that traders have had good experiences.

I actually ended up with Tradeview since I only had enough to open a mini account. I was really scared because I was just trading blind, I mean without S/R and then I became aware of the risk so since I applied them to my strategy, along to the fast execution and good feed I've been doing great.
