I haven't used this EA but I was wondering can't you tell it the max loss in pips you are willing to take per trade? If so, would it be a big problem to set it at something like 20 pips? I wouldn't expect that any of your winning trades venture into that kind of territory before closing out at a profit anyhow or maybe I'm wrong. Thanks!

None, as far as I am concerned. Such a possibility always exists - all that matters in this regard is how fast the robot recovers.

YOu really don't think any winning trades venture into -20pips? Unfortunately you only need to understand a little about the EA and a lot about trading systems to know that this is not the case. I would expect that using a stop of 20pts would bring the trading system strike rate down to between 40-60%(could be less depending on the exit stragetgy). Whether or not it would be profitable or not at that level is a different matter.

No I really don't think that very many of the profitable trades do venture into -20 region. Simply because if you look at the trades this thing makes, they are very quick, lasting an hour or two. Which means they are either right or wrong right away, no time to go down -20 and come back +10.

do you really think that a forex pair doesn't have time to move down 20 and up 30 in the space of a few hours? You should take some time out and look at some charts I think.
