No correct answer so far.
I'll give you a clue so you can all have another guess.
It's related to the banana (so I'm told) and it's growing a bit tall. The glasshouse will be it's home from tomorrow.
Hope that doesn't confuse you, it is a flowering plant, not one that bears fruit.
It was not some sort of "gift of love" - my neighbour grew it (them, he has lots) from seed and asked me if I'd like one now they are in flower.
