Default Impending changes

Doing a bit of cruising on the ssp and came across this little gem:

Quote:
Well, because all the data from the old CH has been migrated to the New Sytsem and there will be a couple of changes in that site that you will need to do, so that is why you will have to follow the instructions when the site is launched.

Ok.. thinking this through. My old account had my details - and the database in the new system has (presumably) the same fields.. so my info that I gave them should be correct.

So what more could be needed. More verification? hmmm why? Perhaps under the auspices of the Patriot Act (isn't the CU offshore?) Maybe it's know your customer.

So what may happen is - your accounts are ready but you/we will need to provide a copy of ...whatever.

On the surface perhaps harmless. Under the surface it's a seething hotbed of potential id theft. Additionally if you had (in quite good faith) created accounts for your kids and so on - and now suddenly you have to provide utility bills for them - it's not gonna be possible.

So this creates a paperwar confusion as everyone rushes to fax in their blood groups and so on. And in the meantime those who value their privacy are left wondering - what to do. Do I kiss that money goodbye or do I HOPE that it's gonna be ok.

Might be time for some arguments - but bottom line - you're gonna lose. There is no point saying well I don't want to give them my SS # or whatever - cos they will then say ok well then you can't have your money.

Another nice little way to screw ya.

What about people who don't have bills in their name? (note I'm using the utility bill as an example here - as it's a common ID tool).

All sorts of possibilities for delay - and of course those who are not familiar with HyIP and the nastiness that goes along with it will be there saying "Of course it's ok only those with something to hide need be worried" Remember the Intgold fiasco?

Assuming we are hit with an ID requirement - what then ? I don't know WHAT I would dvise others to do - as at that time it becomes a $$ vs privacy thing. My gut reaction is to tell them to go to hell - but that may be easier said than done to someone who is hoping /relying on the proposed pittance.

There is once more or still more to be played out here.

Yes, that be par for the IT training course! Account verification, no PRE-WARNING so members could have had these 2+ unpaid months to gather and/or get ID. Instead of the mod squad deleting posts and pushing the faux garbage, they could have been set to a worthy task of actually helping members get ready to withdraw.

Yes, I could see this as being a requirement for withdrawl, thus giving them a few more days as we all await their "busy, overworked" staff!

Then we'll all get slammed for "complaining about it taking 2 weeks to get verified"

IT4THEM will strike again!

What is kinda sad is that on this forum there have been a number of predictions that have been slammed as speculation and rumour. And I mean really SLAMMED.

Yet what we see today is that those things have come true.

I'm not certain of any "rumour" here that has yet to come true.

Some of us have been around too long...

That is a simple answer it would seem to me......they ain't based in the US and won't be needing my info, and that wasn't a condition for my investments anyway.

Patriot act is no excuse here. I was wondering about that list of criminals they were said to be monitoring their DB for.....i just noticed that "child *****graphers" is on the list??
What the hell would they want to launder money for???

HE also says we will have to jump through a few hoops?

One thing for sure..the account with numbers on a page is not the end of the delays,...this is a worryingly easy to imagine one.

no way I give my Id to a guy who has and uses so many aliases. That would be insane.

I bet while we are guessing what his next excuse is going to be, he is sitting somewhere working out a new one we wouldn't come close to thinking about.

Experience has taught me that almost anything is possible here. It may be a good idea not to suggest ways he may not have come up with himself though?

Tim

Hey there Tim

The ID one has ben floated for a while now. Thing is - despite all the arguments you have (it wasn't a condition etc) there is not much that can be done.

It' a bastard act - no doubt about it.

Just another power trip. The fools get off on power trips.
My relative and my friends are requesting their initial investment,
nothing more, nothing less. Now they know mac and his bunch,
they will not ever forget, mac + crew = trouble, loss, pain, deceit,
[insert anything negative here]. They represent the negative and bad
in this world. At the end of the day, nothing will have changed.
If my friends get their initial investments back, they had better count
themselfs fortunate and run the other way. My buddies are not about
to give private info to SCAMMERS. That would be more stupid than
the money they gave to them, by far. Mac has no honour, nor do his bod.
This is not about the patriot act, mac doesnt believe in laws.
It is about that sick power that dwells inside of him and his flunkies.

I'll just give my info to the authorities and let them collect the money due me from IT! I think I would trust them more with my ID! So let them try that one!

So lets just put the Mac, Ian and the rest of the gang in jail and dismantle their little scam for the sheer joy of it. To heck with the money.

You could be right that I won't see the money but I think I will get my money's worth!
