choosing a bank is more a less a thing of finding a jurisdiction which does NOT participate in an AUTOMATIC EXCHANGE of account holder details and tax information.
Currently only these EU countries don't do:
Austria
Luxembourg
Belgium
(forget Malta)
EUROPE BUT NOT EU
Andorra
Monaco (not sure if they fell recently, I think yes)
San Marino (Italian Exclave in Switzerland)
There are as well some British Offshore Territories, like Gibraltar, BVI etc.
Re: Bank secrecy not in swiss constitution, what about Lichtenstein ?
Forgot to mention:
Liechtenstein & Switzerland do not exchange automatically as well (currently, but it already has been agreed, would assume 3 more year until it happens). The point is how long the first exchange request will look in the past...
Re: Bank secrecy not in swiss constitution, what about Lichtenstein ?
Why not get in touch directly with a appropriate ministery in Lichtenstein instead of random Gordon Gekko replies in Talkgold?
Especially in regards to any issue to a countries constitution ... that would require a super reliable source of information (in my oppinion).
Good luck with it
