I did compare Western Union and MoneyGram fee as well as did not realize it is very expensive fee to send from USA to Canada. I see that Canada dollar is getting stronger against USD. In the past 10 years or so I enjoyed buying goods from Canada because USD was used 35 percent high than Canada dollars.

I am not sure if it is worth for me to use moneygram or WU. For instance, I want to send $750 for LR. WU fee will be about $59 plus I will lose some value converting to Canada dollar which will be $724 USD.

Wire transfer fee from bank may be more reasonable and cheaper but drawback it may take 2-3 days to process. I wonder what bank M-Gold use in Canada?

I've sent them wires from Bank of America and Washington Mutual. They always arrive the next day.

Thanks for sharing your experience and it sounds like I may use wire transfer from my bank in USA.

I wonder how much did you sent it to M-Gold and which currency did you purchase?

I am planning to purchase for LR currency.

Yes I lost about $75 in fees altogether sending it moneygram. If you sending anything over $500 just go with bank wire its cheaper.
