Re: Midas Gold Exchange - Buying/Selling/Exchanging WebMoney/Liberty Reserve
I received screenshots of giant e-mail correspondence between M-Gold support and OffshoreMetals, and there is truly some dispute as to which one of the two is the initiator of the third party wire.

Re: Midas Gold Exchange - Buying/Selling/Exchanging WebMoney/Liberty Reserve
From the start of this (2 months or so back) I found it weird that one can have a personal perfect money balance and initiate a wire transfer to a third party ?
Wouldn't you have to have your own bank account in your perfect money acc and a wire would go to that one.
OR doesn't Perfect Money care where the $$ go That would mean I could request a wire from my Perfect money account balance for a large amount to anyone at all in any country? In fact it could mean I am mickey mouse and don't have a bank account of my own or one that I want $$ passing through for whatever reason.
If the wire is located shouldn't it go to perfect money themselves as they were the sender? Then the perfect money acc holder would have to sort it out with them.
I think I'd much rather shop around for an exchanger with a perfect money account and do an internal transfer if I wanted an exchange like this
One of the more experienced exchangers or parties here can tell me if I am missing something above. Awaiting education

Re: Midas Gold Exchange - Buying/Selling/Exchanging WebMoney/Liberty Reserve
Hi,
I'm fairly new to the Hyips, as I do it in my spare time. This post is mainly for some information, regarding my exchange with Midas on Thursday, 10-02-08.
I initiated (2) out exchanges with Midas Thursday afternoon. The out exchanges were a transfer from my L. Reserve account, to my Pay Pal account. The (2) out exchanges were $150.00 each. ($300.00 T.) I originally sent the first $150.00 out exchange, but decided to send another $150.00 shortly afterwards.
First of all, let it be known that there was an error on my end. Midas notified me of this, and after a few modifications to my Pay Pal account, things seemed to be running smoothly thereafter. The main culprit, was that I overlooked my payment setting, which prevented non-U.S. Pay Pal subscribers to send payments to my Pay Pal account in the U.S. I've been on this thread for about a week now, and have no bone to pick with Midas, as in my opinion, they have received favorable responses the majority of the time.
I did however, receive an e-mail from Midas earlier this afternoon, (10-03) stating they were going to be processing my request soon. I'm assuming that the original "hang-up" on my end had been rectified. I also resent my request Thursday afternoon, after I made the necessary modifications on my end, with no error message coming back from Midas this time around.
Much to Midas's credit, I have sent e-mails to them in the past, with a courteous and fast response each and every time. This naturally, was the reason why I picked Midas for this particular exchange. I have also had great luck with another exchanger for my in-exchanges as well.
I'm confident after spending some time here, that there are members with multitudes of more experience in this than myself. My main reason for posting this, is for general information, as I also like to share my experiences with other members on other forums as well.
Enjoying the forum, and will be checking in frequently.
Thanks for all your help!!
Greg

Re: Midas Gold Exchange - Buying/Selling/Exchanging WebMoney/Liberty Reserve
So whats your conclusion then?
I've seen also screenshots and proof that OffshoreMetals has sent the wire, he also sent me his personal info and copy of passport, have you had that from your contact whoever that may be.
This needs to get sorted and the guilty parties banned so I can get back on that banana boat I just jumped off.

Unfortunately, we ceased acceptance of E-Gold several months ago. We would suggest contacting either ExchangesPlus or Goldberg. Thank you.

Yes, because I made a mistake by posting it here. He cannot however provide you with all the other documentation regarding our company (carrying the vary same name), license class A, passport, power of attorney. We also provided our original emails with you from back in July. All of us know that the impostor simply got the .jpegs from the links I uploaded and sent it to you. Nothing else.

We can send this to the same account number to ensure that it is being sent to the correct client. However, if this account number was compromised during this "imposter" business, that wouldn't do any good.

1/ Yes, of course, and then claim that you have returned it and it's Perfect Money's fault, and ask for trace again, right? And again and again ...
2/ We never asked you to spend to a different account other than the one which you used for the initial transaction. May be that impostor even got my fingerprints, what do you think?

You must see the rest of the evidence I provided him with. It is more than convincing and obvious as to who the authentic client is.

Why did you find it weird? We made the order back in July. At that time there wasn't any exchanger willing to exchange Perfect Money to Liberty Reserve. Only Trainex was accepting such exchanges with a maximum of $500 and a 4-5% fee. Even Superchange.ru started dealing with Perfect Money in Mid-August and still - low liquidity and enormous fees.
We received an inquiry from one of our clients willing to exchange a large amount of Perfect Money to Liberty Reserve at a very appealing rate. We decided to accept the order. We were going to request a wire withdrawal from Perfect Money to our bank account and then buy LR from another exchanger as we didn't have any at that time. This however involved two separate transactions with variable % + fixed wire fees (a total of 4,5%-5% at that time).
We then contacted Midas Gold Exchange who agreed to accept the wire from Perfect Money as a BUY order and send us Liberty Reserve, for a 2% fee. We requested a ~$15k wire to be sent from Perfect Money to Midas. He received the wire and credited our LR account accordingly.
Our client inquired for a further ~$27k Perfect Money to be exchanged to LR. Midas once again agreed to complete it @ 2%, leaving us with a fair mark-up on the exchange. And since then, we are in this nightmare: Midas claims not have received the wire (although the full wire trace has proved that the funds have been credited to his account 2 months ago) + our client is threatening us with legal actions for this delay (quite understandable after 2 months of delays).
So, no, I don't think it's weird that we are trying to run a business like everybody else in this folder. The e-currency market is still very illiquid, unregulated, there are no standards and as we saw - no authority to resolve such disputes and prevent fraud.
