It's actually quite rare, but it can happen from time to time. This one took a little longer to locate because it was a third-party wire transfer. As such, OffshoreMetals had to wait for PerfectMoney to provide them with a proper trace document, which took roughly one month.

That is correct. The difference comes from CAD/USD conversion fluctuations that we were supposed to cover as per the terms of M-Gold website. If the exchange was made a few months ago when the USD was weakening day by day, we could have actually made money, however I'm not sure if we would receive credit for it....

I could throttle my banks customer support some weeks so maybe it's a good thing I've never had a lost wire to deal with.

Good to hear you finally have this resolved but the loss of over $6000 for delays beyond your control?

I would have thought the right thing to do would be for M-Gold to honour the agreed terms/rates from when you first initiated this exchange.

If I read correctly M-Gold said they did not rec the wire, but then finally did, if that is to be true then they are not to be held accountable because they may only pay it as they rec it yes? $6000 is a conversion loss supposedly with m-gold said they took no fee. It seems an event out of control.
