Maree, just wondering if you have heard about the new major NFA rule for all U.S. brokers/traders? Here is the rule as told by FXCM:

"A major new National Futures Association (NFA) rule goes into effect on August 1, 2009. This rule affects all U.S. regulated Forex Dealer Members. Forex traders will no longer have the ability to place stop-loss or limit orders. Nor will traders be able to modify or close trades from the “Open Positions” window. As these features will be removed, all stop-loss and limit orders held on FXCM LLC accounts at the close of trading on July 31, 2009, will be deleted."

Also, as a result of the recent rule changes by the NFA, no U.S. brokers will be allowed to offer the MetaTrader 4.0 platform (after July 31, 2009).

In forex trading finding a worse system/robot is equally difficult as finding a winner. If you have the worst system of the world then you can easily reverse the trades.......simple.

Robots are just for fun.
They let you see account growing pretty fast ( only demos) and just fail spectacularly when it comes to real.

I know MQL4 and program EAs at the weekends. Till now I made 10 EAs, all with great risk-reward and very profitable for last 7 years of backtesting.
But I still don't trust them. Simple reason, hidgesight never works for future.

tsk tsk tsk, NFA is getting rid of MT4 in the US or is there main goal to destroy retail forex all together.

This will cause a lot of money to be pulled from US and sent elsewhere.
