My bank in Europe told me that to wire money to another bank in Europe , I don´t need the address of the beneficiary to make the wire.

Is this also true on an intercontinental basis ? (from europe to the USA, europe to Asia,etc...)

This is because it is a Iban transfer, which is similar to an ACH in the US, typically the name does not matter, they only need the Iban account number, or in the US the account and routing.

Incidentally when I send SWIFT transfers I do not have to put an address, just a beneficiary name.

The beneficial name is always needed, the address is less important if it is a IBAN transfer, I think it is what OffshorePrivacy mend.

Yes, that is what I meant.

For SWIFT it is entirely bank specific -- some require the address, others do not.
