Any know any details about this program, I find nothing on their govt web site. I want to make sure this is not a scam -- and how long it takes.
I have a Canadian client who wants to register a US car in Vanuatu using his US Corp, but drive it in Canada -- this saves about $35,000 in taxes as the car is a BMW made in Germany and Canada taxes it at a much higher rate.

Any feedback?
No problem, tell those degenerates in Vanuatu that KG refer you.-
Of course Canada Custom and Excise administration will leave a car registered in Vanuatu be driven on Canadian roads and highways without paying any sort of import duty....
The scam is not in the alleged Vanuatu registration scheme but also providing such advice to client for fees...
Canada Custom and Excise allows plenty of US registered cars on the roads without paying taxes -- many belong to permanent residents who onkly drive them in Canada.
I see no problems with providing legal options for clients to avoid in this case almost 22% in taxes on a 100,000 CDN vehicle.
My question WAS is anyone familiar with this process and can recommend a firm in Vanuatu to complete this process.
Sounds a bit iffy to me. I dont think that the government in Vanuatu has their stuff together enough to organise something like that.
If you could do it, you would need to be prepared to leave every registration sticker on the vehicle for the life of the vehicle. Its a quirky law that they have. Ive seen cars that are more registration sticker than anything else...

I have never seen anything on the Vanuatu Govt site about this, they obviously talk about IBC's but not offshore car registration -- only Offshore Companies seem to offer this including SLOGOLD from this forum.
1.) you have to find an insurance company for this, don't know about it in America.
2.) The registration documents are processed only once a year, means if you send your documents at the worst time, it may take up to one year for your registration to be completed

registration of cars on Vanuatu or Cook Island is possible and proven fact, problem is insurance, we have solution for insurance in Europe and also all the client we have are driving cars in Europe, for US and Canada we do not have experience, but we would recommend you to talk with some lawyer about this, in europe you can usually drive car with Vanuatu plates in one country if you are not resident of that country
smells scam by buckets... A car with Vanuatu plates is likely to attract a lot of unwanted attention, specially when crossing a border.. I like to see slogold explaining in simple term how he deals with VAT, insurance and how it is possible to drive a car in a country where one is not resident (except maybe being a sleepless nomad) all year long..If there is an insurance company subscribing to this, when they make money out of local stats that command premiums paid, I'd like to know the name...
