I listened to a foreign affairs expert speak on Iraq last evening.
I agree with his conclusion which was:
The next 6-9 months will tell the tale. If things stabilize the US and it's allies will se things through. If not domestic public pressure may force a pullout.
If the Shiittes permit the Sunnis to participate fully in the government of the country and if the Sunnis accept the role they are offered there is hope that Iraq can become stable and will grow.
If on the other hand the Shiittes don't permit the Sunnis to become fully involved the Sunnis will continue to try to restore minority rule by whatever means possible. Also the Sunnis may refuse to accept anything less than minority rule. Power isn't an easy thing to relinquish!
It would be wise to watch developments before spending any large amounts of money that one is not prepared to lose.
On the surface the dinar looks like a pretty fair bet BUT...there is always a BUT, isn't there?
I think they'll change the money again. Dinars worth nothing right now. It would be smarter for them to introduce a new currency. Inflation will never make current dinars worth anything.
I find it funny how all the links are posted here are so nice.
google it before investing. Type something like "dinar scam" read it throughly. You'll see the light!

Funny,
And why would they do that when they just completed a total currency conversion in late 2003 from Saddam mug on every note to new high security like new US notes? With first Iraqi bonds just introduced and well received, and FOREX and traders now listing dinars getting ready to add, HSBC opening branch in Iraq, military paying vendors in dinar, you couldn't be more wrong.
guys anybody knows any reliable site to buy dinars from. Ive heard of freedinar.com. Anybody had any experiences with them?
Also any recommendations for other sites selling dinars are welcome.

Greetings,
I have been using Free-Dinar for 8 months and never had a problem and have also sold 40 million to others, so as a registered dealer, you are safe to order from them. There are others, but beware, some will hold your money for over a month which I waited six weeks for and had to complain loudly to get action. I will only say they are based out of Chicago. (g)
I have read several of the posts but not all. I hope I have not wasted your time by restating any of the preceding posts.
I live in Wisconsin near Milwaukee. The local branch of "Associated Bank" has exchanged currency from USD to ID and back (over the counter). The turn around rate is about 48hrs to 72hrs.
I have recently (01/25/06) exchanged USD to ID just incase the chance presents itself in my good fortune. I received 1mil of ID in less that 24hrs of making the request. Associated Bank completed the exchange through and received the currency from the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Associated Bank exchanged the currency at the rate of .0007699 with a $13 handling fee. The total cost in USD was just short of $785. The rate was current on that date.
I know that there are many opinions as to the future of the Dinar, but for the minor cost of the chanced investment it seemed plausible at this time.
I want to buy 10000 Iraq Dinar. Where can i buy it?
Quote:
Why would you want to earn Dinar? Well when you consider that the US Government has invested over 200 Billion Dollars in the future of Iraq so far. They have committed another 18 Billion Dollars in Reconstruction Aid. That is more than $2000 per US Household. Are you in a position to directly profit from that investment? You are if you invest in Dinar's.
The Dinar has long been a strong currency. Right now it is at a historically low rate. It is similar to what happened in Japan and Germany after World War II. Their economies were shattered so you could buy up lots of their currency very cheaply. Once their economies got back on track, anyone who had taken advantage of that opportunity became extremely wealthy.
How does buying the New Iraqi Dinar help Iraq? Their new currency came out in October, 2003. People buying Dinar with Dollars have helped the the New Iraqi Dinar more than double in value since then. This has mainly been due to speculative buying. This means people who get paid in Dinar, like Iraqi government workers, police, and security forces can afford to buy more things they need and make being a lawful part of their new society more attractive. Prosperity in the new Iraqi democracy helps to promote liberty and democracy while eroding support for the terrorist insurgency.
By buying Dinar, you will also hold a stake in Iraq's future success.
God helps those who help themselves so here is your chance to help yourself and to help others.
