Alexa ranking is totally based upon traffic.If Website has a good traffic it will surely get good alexa rank.

oes anyone know if there are stats out there that show a correlation between alexa rank and UV a day?

Alexa rank=10,000 so this means site gets 25,000 UV a day.

Something along those lines. I know it won't be exact but I would love to see if there is something like that out there. Or if you have a site that does pretty decent on Alexa it would be interesting to hear your Alexa rank and UV a day.

Alexa ranking is not useful for website. It helps when you sale your domain or sale links from your website. Alexa is a automated tool which gives you measurements of your website but don't help to rank high.
