Looking for Resources to Starting my own Investment Fund?
Hello all, I'm searching for resources on starting my own offshore investment fund in a legal manner (so people can invest their money with me). Does anyone know where I can find any guides or reports or information on setting something up like this?
I suppose what I'm looking to start could be considered an HYIP as it's signifigantly more than you would make at a bank, but it's certainly no 1% per day or anything crazy like that. I'm looking to provide investors with somewhere between 5 to 10% per month.
Anyway, I'm just looking for resources on how to establish something like this through some type of legal fund structure. I want to do it offshore in an unregulated country (as I'm not interested in dealing with regulations, far too much hassle) but just want to have something 'real' established if you understand what I mean. The only thing I could find so far was this report (http://www.global-money.com/item.php?id=48), but I'm trying to find additional resources.

ivaho, that's not really what I'm looking to start.
I'm looking to start something like an HYIP that many here invest in already but want to setup a legal offshore structure to run it from and hope to, as GAGNIER suggests, provide something stable and trustworthy with more realistic gains.
Not looking to start a group or club, and not looking to form any sort of corporate body in the U.S.
Anyone else might have any resources for something like this?

You would be starting a mutual fund. That typically requires a lot of resources and licesnsing if you want it to be public. Start by looking at mutual fund laws for Caribbean countries.

I would expect it to be fairly long term, and even if it wasn't going to be, I would expect to be able to fully pay out everyone's final investment periods before it would need to be shut down. However I am confident enough in the other investments and traders which the investment would be operating on that it should be fairly long term.
I don't know if it would be considered a mutual fund, at least... it certainly wouldn't be registered as one. It would be purely a private, offshore investment. Not a 'security' like a mutual fund.
I would like to structure it in such a way that it does not fall under jurisdiction of the SEC or regulatory bodies like it in other countries. By saying I wish to set it up legitimately, I mean that, but what I also mean is, legitimately in whichever country it is to be registered in and operated from. It would most certainly comply with the required laws in that country, but not be regulated by anything other than those laws.
I'm just looking for someone who may have some experience with something setup like this? I'm sure that such is done on a regular basis. If you have a look at FeederFund for example, a number of the investments under their program are run from other countries yet don't seem to be under U.S. or SEC jurisdiction.

I saw your post a few days ago. There are many legal type people ready to
setup a offshore company, Belize, Panama etc. If you are resident of a contry with persistent tax collectors then you need setup your offshore company in a place which is 100% tax free.
For example :
"Non-resident Panama corporations are 100% tax-free on its activities outside of Panama. "
I have never dealt with this company below, but their website has a few
interesting pieces of info, setup bank accounts, getting company registered etc. Enough to get you started.
