Thanks
also according to doyouneedvisa.com, dominican republic doesn't offer me visa-free travel to europe, it's actually ranked about 169 in passport rank, where indonesia is still better

Portugal used to have something similar. All you had to do was buy a house or other such property. Don't know if they have changed the rules now though.

Re: Current Citizenship By Investment Programs
you also have option to get second passport, not citizenship in Panama, in this case i think you can also keep your main citizenship

Re: Current Citizenship By Investment Programs
hey slogold thanks for giving me information about Panama, i've read about it and found these two:
http://www.offshorelegal.org/immigra...t-program.html
http://www.panamalaw.org/passport_program.html
but they are a bit conflicting, do i need $175,000 or $230,000 to invest in panama bank to proceed?
also once i start to invest, how long do i have to wait before i get my passport? And do i have to stay in panama for x years?

Re: Current Citizenship By Investment Programs
Panama required currently around $500k to maintain as deposit with Banco Nacional de Panama, procedure to get passport is also not fast, takes about 6 months i think, but keep in mind that this is not citizenship only second passport

Re: Current Citizenship By Investment Programs
ok so basically i can have indonesian nationality with panamanian passport, with $500K in panama bank account. That's nice, because i wont lose that $500K, right? Just that i need a bank account there..but is that actually legal or depends on my country policy? For example, indonesia doesn't recognize dual citizenship, in that kind of policy is it usually OK to get another country's passport? I honestly cant imagine someone with nationality A but have passport B, you know... because as far as i know, a country that adopts one citizenship policy (like indonesia or singapore) doesnt allow someone holding two different passports, but i dont know if i can keep up my country citizenship but use another country passport. Wont it be suspicious or something?

Re: Current Citizenship By Investment Programs
you keep both passports, in Panama you get it as investor i think, but some Panama lawyer would be more qualified to answer this, if you need to tlak with somebody send me PM, and yes, money in bank is yours and you are earning interests, but this is not much these days.

For how long is that passport valid? Is he able to withdraw the funds after the passport has been issued?
