Paypal confusion for Offshore scenario
So if I have a: - Company registered in South America
- Bank account in Europe
- Visa Card with billing address in Asia
...from a Paypal perspective, how do I register a business account so I can withdraw money?
Has anyone else encountered this scenario and can offer advice?

Re: Paypal confusion for Offshore scenario
you will need for paypal company address (it can be different from registered address) same as where is your bank account/visa card. Paypal will request you proof of address for company + bank account credit card statement and bank statement should be from same country

Re: Paypal confusion for Offshore scenario
PayPal is a huge pain in the arse unless all three; bank, debit card, physical address are in the country in which you wish to register.
I recently went through the experience as I have a Swiss account, Seychelles IBC, Swiss virtual address. That was not good enough. I received a payment and my account was immediately limited. They would not accept a bank statement sent from my Swiss bank to the Swiss virtual address, they demanded a utility bill and Swiss credit card with Swiss billing address and my Swiss bank issues Maestro cards which do not work with PayPal. I still had to provide the service to the client and then wait for PayPal to refund his money since I could not as the account was limited which takes at least 10 business days all so he can pay me via wire later.
I would have been better off just withdrawing to a locally issued debit card which is the only option I have in my country.

PayPal did not ask for a business proof of address, they only asked for a personal proof of address that matched the address on file.

Re: Paypal confusion for Offshore scenario
Thanks for all the responses. It confirms my belief that Paypal is too much of a hassle to pursue because it expects all factors to be in one place.
It looks like I'll need to skip Paypal and focus on alternative mechanisms for receiving credit card payments.
I'll be cheeky and ask here instead of a new thread - how do other payment gateways handle the company/bank/card being registered in different locations?
