Writing and selling E-books with clickbank

After seeing how much money the rich jerk ebook made in just over a month, I have become extremly interested in this stuff. I mean, how easy is it to write an ebook then market it on clickbank.com? Has anyone tried it yet and if so what were the results?

Writing a book is easy. Writing a good book is hard. Writing a book that people will pay for is even harder.

I bought and read The Rich Jerk's ebook. It is good but not great. He has some good infomation, but most of it I have seen in one form or another at some other time. (Even though to most people it is probably "new stuff".)What has made The Rich Jerk such an astronomical seller in such a short time is not the substance of his ebook, but his marketing style/angle...he draws people in with his unique anti-marketing style. Already, there are tons of copycats out there...just check the Google Adwords Ads. His sales letter is probably the best thing about his book and what made it a "best seller".

So, the moral of the story is....it doesn't matter what you write...it can be bad, good or great...it's all in the marketing. That's why they have babes in bikinis selling chewing gum on TV.

saxi is very right, finding a niche and then finding a "techinique" to sell is hard, i can barely come up one per year.

second step is pricing it right, and working out all scripts n pages

and the last n hardest thing is "the sales letter"

You are absolutely right, Jim, it does not matter if the book is good or bad, its all about the marketing. The RichJerk ad is great, not the book. Honestly i have yet to find an ebook which is really great.

Anything can be sold and not be labeled as a scam.
People want things.
People need things.
People want more than they need.
If you can provide people with what they want they will gladly pay you.
But the sad experience is that if you sell people what they need they will turn their back on you. They never need things. They don't want you to remind them what they need.
That's why 'love novels' sell like hot dogs and phylosophy books collect dust in the bookshelves.
That's also the reason why the market for 'trading signals' have so many buyers and books teaching you the hard steps to financial freedom are sure failures.
