As of now Gozing surveys are not accepting any new registration. They have been taken over by Greenfiled online.
Greenfiled online surveys are for North America only. For the rest of the World, Gozing surveys have been replaced by Ciao surveys

Depends on a few factors;

NEVER PAY TO TAKE SURVEYS! Thousands of market research companies will pay you, others just want your opinion, some offer random payments or drawings.

Worthwhile? If you can answer yes to most of the following;
Do you read fast?
Do you buy things online?
Do you buy things in the store?
Do you drive?
Do you have a telephone with long distance service?
Do you have a television with cable?

AND you can answer no to the following;
Do you work for a market research or advertising firm?
Do you work for a manufacturer of food or beverage products?

Even if you can't there are surveys available (I get paid about $200 a month from online and offine surveys) but you'll increase your returns if you fit into the above.

Yes, Globaltest market is one of the best paying survey companies for people from many countries.
But for people of USA, UK, Canada, Australia and parts of Europe there are better paying survey companies

It's all a matter of being with the right, true market research sites. There are way more scam sites out there that position themselves as paying surveys, but are really junk. They have given the industry a bad name. There are tons of great sites for several countries and regions. I spend less than 15-20 minutes a day doing surveys and make, on average, $200 a month. No scams, no spam, it has taken some time to get going with the right companies, but I love it now and find the money is definitely worth it.

I tried a couple of online "paid" surveys long ago and I'll I got for my time was an entry into a "drawing" which I'm not sure was ever really held.

I wouldn't recommend GoZing. I had tried them out about 2 years ago, and I had a problem with the very first survey I took up with them.

After spending about 30 minutes answering the questions, just after the last question, the survey application threw an error.

I wrote to their support, and a person did get in touch with me via e-mail asking me the text of the last question I encountered in the survey. Ever since I sent them the reply with the text, I have not heard anything, nor was I paid for the survey.

I've tried as well, from the list of survey sites in blogs, webpages and link signatures. I havent been contacted in two months already? I guess I'm not the target they are reaching out for.

But I think offline paid surverys/focus groups are real.
