Too bad there isn't a really legit verification company out there though.. would help us out a bit in ensuring that a website/company is reputable..

netibas link system isn't too smart. you can't easily verify if they have verified jack..
and even if it were, netiba only cares about that you send them cash and "promise" to be respectable. HAH. a respectable company wouldn't even bother with netiba(and since netiba has no criterias at all it's useless...).
Oh, and the FF in my name stands for Foreign Fund, a now ancient scam from the Dark Ages. If you need to contact me and can`t pm me, email me at wannabe.exffinvestor@yahoo.com
Actually if you follow a link like http://www.netiba.com/si.php?microsoft.com
It will take you to a certificate, though I doubt very much that Microsoft ever heard about such a pitiful little thing as NetIBA/StormPay. You can try to play with this link, replacing company domain name with some of the famous companies… You will soon get a sense that NetIBA folks pre-certified some, and forgot (or did not think) about the others….
It always bothers me when some mildew, comes from under the toilet seat, trying to “tax” people for services they do not provide, or instead of finding their own niche, digging a hole in the middle of a road.
Another (out of topic) thing that is bothering me, is that it looks like 12DP is going to stop using e-gold, and switch to StormPay. I would hate to see it. Ponzi or not, 12DP is a real company who provides service that is of value to some and pays the others. I wish they stayed away from StormPay/NetIBA

I surely hope 12dp won't drop E-Gold. They only said that the payout period for E-Gold will be extended to 10 days but only as a back-up, and that it will most likely be as before, which is 4-8 business days.
They're also planning a third payment processor for 2006 (still unnamed). I wonder what it'll be.
Should they ever use StormPay/NetIBA exclussively, I'll quit 12dp.
Ok.. its not perfect and yes I agree its a money making machine for StormPay or similar... but.
Anything that makes it a little more difficult to set up a scam program has to be a good thing... surely? Even if we all know it would not put off serious scammers it may act as a deterrent to 'amatuer' scammers!
The idea that there can ever be an honest HYIP or autosurf program also intrigues me. Surely we all know that any program/business? that offers 1% + daily to its members is guaranteed to fail at some point leaving many many members out of pocket! Does that make it a scam?
I'm not sure... we all go into these programs knowing the risks. My view is that it is more akin to gambling. Some we win, some we lose.
The trick is to get out before they close.
if a program has _lies_ on it's homepage it is a _scam_. you can't go around that - not in any way - you can't possibly say that "well, we all knew that it was a scam so it wasnt a scam..".
with gambling you know the odds and can evaluate your position. with hyip you don't know the odds, you don't know the games rules nor do you know even who is responsible for the program in the end.
the way I figure NETIBA is pretty much useless, the most you can do get get a phsical address that you can give to the police that they may use as a lead, which will eliminate a decent percentage of amateur scammers. I didn't pay for NETIBA so I could feel all warm and fuzzy, I did it for the reduced fees on stormpay, since i'm not going near egold unless I have to. ever since I started looking at these programs my machine's been getting portscanned by. I won't feel all warm and fuzzy until my original principal is back in my checking acct.
if you got $500+ floating in and out within a years period its worth it. Otherwise don't bother.
No, it will not even eliminate a decent percentage of amateur scammers because NetIBA is useless in every case. Besides, it's the non-amateur scammers that rip people off the most, so it's a small comfort even if it did turn off a few newbies. Shall I remind you of "Rainsurf", "GCIsurf", and "Clixsurf", all of which were "certified"? They all ripped people off and ran away with their money. Other scammers will look at them and follow the example. StormPay/NetIBA is completely worthless and it's a scam. Avoid them like a plague, if you can.

The Admin of Clixsurf claimed he was in the process of getting NetIBA certified, but he dropped it because it was 'giving him too much trouble, not answering his emails... etc etc'. Anyway, why split hairs
I applied for NetIBA certification a few days ago and got phone verified precisely one day after that - WITHOUT ever being called. I'm 100% positive they didn't call - I was home all of that day. So much for verifying identities!
It's not the price of the certification that bothers me - I'll be making that back in one month of dedicated StormClix. It's the attempt to dupe the average Joe into thinking he's paying for a privilege that MEANS something and getting some value for his money that makes me mad. It's crazy that they're enticing more and more people to think they can just make it up with Stormclix. Every single spend is just lining up the same greedy pockets.
