I don't think the CEO of xlcard is such a person. I do believe he is seriously ill.

If he is a scam, he would have continued to accept egold loading and then run away with the funds.

Although I don't like them now, at least they have removed the egold loading option which shows no intention of scamming.

I think this is something that is beyond control.

Lets hope he recovers soon.

I just ordered a xl card.
The card camed,I "Tested" it with e-gold funding.
I funded 20$.
In account after 2 days were 17.5 $.
That means 2.5 $ taxes of funding.
From that 17.5 $ I got from atm 4$.
Balance is now 0.33 $.
This card really sucks,and I am very disapointed in my first card testing.
